Chapter 4: Leaving the Snowy Village

It's been a couple of weeks now, since I decided to stay here but only temporarily.

At first, it was supposed to be 3 days or a week but I extended it to a month since, I find this place, quite fun?

I don't know but certainly makes my time here a little worth while despite the cold. I also learned about their problems here. Tch it's because of the Empire, they're having a hard time with these so called Taxes.

But hearing the word Empire, it sickens me as I can still remember what they did, but I had to pushed it aside, no used getting angry when you get nothing from it.

Tatsumi, Ieyasu and Sayo has been visiting me a lot in my cabin, just to make me entertained and keep me away from leaving.

I was right, they were one year younger than me, all of them were the same age. 10 years old to be exact but they're almost 11 now. Though Tatsumi and Ieyasu tend to act like 5 year olds, typical while Sayo, well she's alright... I think?

The two boys always bicker around with each with Sayo occasionally joining which I couldn't help but laugh which was a shock to me. I haven't laugh since.... his death....

I guess Master was right.... maybe I need friends to fill the hole in my heart but... I'm afraid.... afraid of what might happen...

Anyway, I still remember the words they describe about me.

Tatsumi: You're so cool!!! No awesome!!!

Ieyasu: And badass with all of those Weapons of yours!!

Those were Ieyasu and Tatsumi's words while Sayo, I don't know the girl is too bashful when talking to me, she's not like that to the two knuckleheads though, but she managed to say her own thoughts out loud.

Sayo: Y-You're quite mysterious a-and..... interesting

That's all she said but although I could tell there were more but she looks to shy in saying them out loud. The three of them have the same dream, to become legendary warriors, though I admit hearing those words was a bit funny as I wanted to laugh but I didn't wanna make fun of them.

Anyway during those past couple of weeks, the three of them had been trying to get me to train with them, seeing I possess all of these Artillery weapons of mine as well as my sword Misera and my throwing knives named Abysser.

I met their Sensei, he was a blacksmith as well as a Swordsman. He looks interesting.. that's all I can say, he was quite an adept with the swords, that was the same word he said to me. I can learn a thing or two from him and he can learn the same from me as well and because of that, I decided to train with the three much to their excitement.

Though Tatsumi and Ieyasu always gets a beating from me while Sayo well, I always let her go since I don't know why but I don't like to hit her, but it's not obvious favoritism.........

........Is it?

Right now, Tatsumi and Ieyasu were having a spar as their Sensei gives them tips all while me and Sayo stood on the sideline, sitting on rocks.

This scene, when I look at them, I start to see myself with Master and Wisdom. The things it used to be before... all gone... destroyed by betrayal and corruption... losing everything, everything that I came to love, my home, my Master and what once a brother figure to me, gone.
