I sleep in the Patroller den with Mia and Bear. Soon, it's gonna be Midnight and I gotta be ready!

"Maggie." I hear Mia say. I stand up lazily. "C'mon. Bear already went to Star's den." She says. "Okay." I say, and we go.

Once we arrive, everyone else is there. Lakota is sitting next to Lusa and Rush. "Alright. Everyone is here. You all know what we are doing tonight, and yes it's a little risky. So if you want to stay home, say now." No one answers. "Good, because I'm gonna need all of you for this. Patrollers, you guys and Omega will watch for danger while we stay together. When we spilt into Hunters and Patrollers, you'll all go together. I won't be there, so I'm putting Mia in charge. You all know how to hunt well, even though your not Hunters. Hunters, while we stick together with the Patrollers, you and I will get food. When we split apart, we'll search and hunt just like the Patrollers will. Except, I'll lead. Alright, we'll stick together for now, let's go!" So we do.

Once we arrive, Lakota howls and I translate her howl. "Toooooooofuuuuu!" She cries. I look around at everyone else. Only Lusa is howling with Lakota. I watch Rush rest his muzzle on Lakota's back. "Hey did you hear that?" Mia whispers in my ear. "What? Was it a bear?" I whisper back. "Maggie, for the last time there are no bears! It was a deer." She says. "Oh." I respond, and watch Lakota and Lusa wrap up their howl. "Lakota." Mia says. The great wolf dog looks at her, "Yes?" She asks. "I smelled a deer. It just went past and I'm sure everyone is hungry." She says. Lakota nods. "Okay. Rush, Mia, and Bear. Will you go get the food?" She asks. "Oh Lakota. I'm not good at hunting. I'm tired." Bear whimpers. "Okay. Diesel, how about you go?" She asks. "Alright!" Diesel barks happily. "Um. Lakota... May I go to?" I ask. She looks down at me and smiles. After a few minutes of muttering to herself, she says yes! "Yay!" I bark, so I start off after the patrol.
