“You’re home!” I couldn’t help but run towards Jacoby, my lips pulled up into a full grin as he placed his bags on the floor, his arms wide open for me.

I didn’t hesitate to launch right into his arms, making him stumble back, but he caught me all the same and wrapped his arms tightly around my waist, where as my arms had wrapped around his neck and my legs around his waist.

“Tour was boring with out you, Hannah.” He mumbled against my hair and I giggled, pressing a kiss to his lips.

“I’m sorry. But If it makes you feel any better, I’ll tag along for a few dates on the next tour?” At this he laughed and nuzzled his nose against mine, making a grin instantly appear on my lips.

“I’m sure that the guys wouldn’t mind that.”

It felt like only yesterday he had come home from tour. But now he was always busy with the new record, setting out new tour dates and just getting everything finalised.

We barely had time to ourselves any more and if we did, it was a few stolen moments in the evening before we went to bed, exhaustion getting the better of the both of us.

“You promised we’d have more time, Jacoby!” I half yelled, exasperated and exhausted. I knew that dating a rockstar wouldn’t be easy, that there would be stresses and there would be things coming between us. But we’d been together so long, it amazed me that we stuck together despite everything that life threw at us.

“I know. I just never realised that the label want the record done by next month.”

“And then another tour.” I half whispered, feeling the tears fill my eyes. His heartbroken expression only hurt me more.

His arms were wrapped around me tightly as I clung to him, not ready to let him go when he’d only just gotten back.

“I promise you, after this tour we will make time for ourselves. We’ll work to our own schedule and we’re going to have too much time for each other.” He whispered quietly and I just nodded, not trusting my voice to speak.

So here I was, waiting for him to get off the last tour before the band took a year off everything so that we could quality time together.

The airport was filled to the brim with multiple people. A few times I had spotted a couple of bands who lived in the area come home and I spoke with them for a few moments before they disappeared back to their loved ones.

Only when his flight was called, I felt my excitement grow, knowing that he wasn’t too far from me now.

“I’ll see you soon Hannah. I promise.” He murmured against my neck, his arms tightening around my body ever so slightly as I placed a kiss to his cheek, ignoring the onlookers and passers by at the airport.

“I know you will. The end of this tour couldn’t come quick enough.” I hummed and he let out a soft chuckle.

“I love you. Please don’t forget that.”

“Like I could.” I teased him and he pulled back, giving me a fleeting smile.

He kissed me one last time, just as his flight was called and I pouted as he pulled away.

“Soon. I’ll text you when we land.” He murmured softly and kissed my forehead before picking up his bags and following his band mates to check-in.

“Where is he?” I mumbled to myself as people started to come through arrivals, each of them with their eyes set out for their loved ones.

I didn’t hesitate to stand up on the chair, my eyes searching through the crowd before I found his face in the sea of people and did a mini cheer.

His eyes found mine and on instinct, I just smiled, the familiar warmth flooding my stomach as he battled his way through the masses of people towards me.

Once he reached me, he didn’t hesitate to pull me from the chair, spinning me around as I giggled and clung to him tightly.

“You’re home. You’re home, you’re home, you’re home.” I sang and he laughed, placing me on my feet once more.

“I’m home and I have a question for you, Hannah.” He grinned, taking both of my hands in his.

“And what question would that be?” I mused, an amused smile on my lips.

“Actually, no. I’m going to read a letter that I wrote, but never sent to you. Because I wanted to say it in person.” He grinned and I just rolled my eyes at him.

“Only you.” I teased and he winked.

“Dear my best friend. How are you tonight? I hope you know that I miss you so much. I always hated leaving you for tour, because it made me miss you so much. But I had to, I needed to give a thank you to the people who made it possible to be in this position. Because if it weren’t for them, we wouldn’t have met. I wouldn’t of met the girl who stole my heart and made me a cheesy fuck.” I rolled my eyes and grinned at this.

“You were cheesy anyway, you just needed to show that side more often.” I smirked and he shook his head, placing a gentle kiss to my lips.

“Either way, you helped that along and it made me see a new side to things. You helped me disconnect from my past and reconnect with you, for my future. And in my future, I want us. I want us sat together, reminiscing over the days we spent apart, going over tour stories and laughing together. Hannah, marry me and let this future become that little bit more solid?”

"You know, we're going to get married one day." Jacoby mused as we sat in the tour bus, hiding from the sweltering heat.

"What makes you say that?"

"Well, I know that my relationships won't last. So why not stick with my best friend? I know you'll always have my back, and I know that as we get older, you'll still be there like anyone should be."

"Yeah, but what if I fell in love with someone Jacoby?" I chuckled and he shrugged.

"Threesomes are always good?" He teased and smirked as I slapped his arm.

"Such a guy." I grumbled and he laughed.

"You love it though. Now c'mon, before they get the wrong idea and start on us about the bus rules again, even though we aren't exactly dating." He muttered and I laughed loudly.

"Dating or not, they'll always get the wrong idea with us because we're so close. Get used to it Shaddix."

I blinked in shock at his words before feeling my lips curve up into a wide grin.

“If anything, that future should have already been solid and set in stone. Yes, I will marry you.” I don’t know how, but I managed to not completely start crying.

We’d been together for so long and we’d been best friends for so much longer. He truly was the other part of my soul and I wouldn’t of had it any other way.

And now I was going to have his surname, just like we used to joke about at the start of our friendship.

I couldn’t have been any happier for him to have come home from tour.
