"Well, Miss Conyx, the sign up sheet for each class is posted outside their respective classroom at the end of the day. You can sign up for your chosen classes after you finish Mech," Isaac said. He turned to the whiteboard and wrote what they'd be starting with for the vampire unit in red dry erase marker, which made Lily and Ray giggle. Isaac smiled to himself, knowing that his star students understood the joke. "Storm, Flower, what is it?" Tierra asked. "Quiet fake Barbie doll. Pay attention," Lily angrily whispered. Isaac read what was on the board and the girls took their notes very quickly, something that he had already gotten used to. "Lily, Ray, do you mind going to grab some of the vampire books I set aside for this unit? They're all picked for each student. They have a sticky note with their student's name on it. They're in a black crate labeled Sparks Block Five. I'm going to finish reading the lesson plan, but I presume you already memorized it, so you're the best students to grab the books," Isaac explained. The girls nodded and walked to the teacher's lounge in sync and Ray picked up the crate. They walked back and Lily placed each book at the seat of their student.

To prevent students from seeing and trading books before they started reading, the books were all in a black cover. "Welcome back girls. Reading starts after everyone finishes their notes. At the end of this unit, we'll be putting on a movie about vampires," Isaac said. "Will it be Hotel Transylvania?" Elizabeth Alvera, the student who was ranked 5th in their class, but was also very innocent and childlike asked with her two blonde braids with sunflower clips fell with her tilted head. The sparkle in her green eyes had grown with her excitement for a movie. "Sadly, no. The higher-ups said that tenth graders don't need to watch a movie for children, but it's still a good movie," Issac said. "Is it something sappy and gross like Twilight? That would suck," Alexandra Sadall, the student who was ranked 4th in class but really couldn't care less about grades and always wore black headphones around her neck, stated. Her dyed blue hair with light violet looking roots was currently in a messy bun and her heterochromatic eyes were partially hidden by her bangs. "Goodness no! Ivy suggested that as a joke, but Phoebe covered her mouth after she said Twi," Isaac said.

"Is it Near Dark? It's good and all, but it's kinda gross with the romance," Daniel Murness, who was tied with Alexandra in 4th, said. His long black hair was pulled back in a low ponytail, allowing his grayish green eyes to be shown. "No. Elliot tried to suggest it, but Phoebe said that romance isn't a very good thing to show you guys, since you're teenagers who gagged when you heard that there might be a romance play for the school play. Plus romanticized vampires are really gross and unrealistic. These are terrifying beings who drink blood and kill. If a vampire met a hot girl, they'd probably still kill her. And if a girl met a vampire, she should run or try to kill it. Or maybe she'll be frozen in fear. I get the impression that a majority of the girls in here would be a total badass and kill the vampire, but some might just run. And there are a few who would either be too terrified to move or they'd be trying to strike up a romance," Isaac said and let out a small chuckle as Ray and Lily looked at the girls in front of them. "I'd run as far as I could and get help to get rid of that thing!" Elizabeth stated. "I could probably beat 'em," Alexandra and Daniel said in unison. The seat buddies were best friends, similar to Ray and Lily.

However, the reason they were so close was because they were basically siblings. The duo had grown up together because the Sadall family was very close with the Murness family. Their great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great grandfathers had been the very best of friends, resulting in the generations after them being close to each other, which is why Daniel and Alexandra were almost family. They had similar fashion sense and interests. Both had black painted nails. The duo wore matching headphones and had dyed their hair at the same time. Alexandra was a social outcast because she was judged for her heterochromia. Upon their first meeting, at age three, her violet and blue eyes were the first thing that Daniel noticed. Of course, as a young girl, Alexandra's eyes had been her biggest insecurity. He brought them up and she looked down. Even now, after Alexandra built up confidence in her appearance, they were still her biggest insecurity. Daniel's grayish green eyes had originally been an insecurity of his because students had said they looked like puke, but they had helped each other feel better about their eyes. "Lex?" Daniel asked, looking to his best friend. "What is it Danny?" Alexandra asked.
