Ray and Lily walked home in comfortable silence, the only background noises being gentle snoring and crickets chirping, with the occasional leaf crunch. Faith was asleep on Lily's back and Hope was asleep on Ray's. They went to the Conyx household. Lily gently shook her little sisters awake. "Come on guys, it's not night time yet. You can go change though," she said softly. The twins untied the ribbons in their hair and uniform in the bathroom before changing into the over sized shirts that Ray had given them when they outgrew their one pieces. Lily had given them woobie pants and now that's what they wore to sleep, which was super comfy. Faith and Hope came back out. "So, what do you want for dinner?" Lily asked. "Can we order a pizza?" Faith asked. "Sure. I don't really feel like cooking," Lily said. They ordered a pizza and it arrived very quickly. The girls all ate their dinner, which got Faith and Hope energized. "So, ready for the read through?" Ray asked. They worked out what would happen and then the girls went to bed. "Ray, do you wanna sleep over?" Lily asked. "No, I think I'm going to go back home. I'll call you later though," Ray said, getting up. She waved goodbye and walked to her house.

Ray entered her house and changed into her pajamas, which typically consisted of a pair of shorts and a large t-shirt. However, it was getting colder, so she changed into her pajama pants. Ray did her night time routine and walked to bed, removing her bun and brushing her hair before getting her tablet and sitting down in bed to call Lily. Her best friend was wearing a black tank top and red flannel pants from a pajama set. The jacket of the set was tied around Lily's waist. "Hey Ray!" Lily said. "Hey Lily. So, we should probably wear the colder weather versions of our uniforms. It's getting chillier," Ray said. "Yeah. I'm gonna wear black tights and the black hoodie tomorrow. Probably boots as well," Lily said. Her black hoodie was had three white stripes around the wrist and waist, while her boots were black combat boots with white laces. "Yeah, I'll probably do something similar," Ray said. She planned on wearing her black hoodie and boots, which looked like Lily's but had two dark pink stripes instead of three white. The duo was always coordinated in their outfits. "I think that you should give the twins their hoodies," Ray said. Lily nodded. They chatted about work and interests and other stuff before signing off to go to bed.

Ray put her tablet back to charge and closed her eyes, pulling up her blankets and comforter. She hugged her teddy bear close to her chest as she fell asleep, long black hair spread out on her pillows, which had dark gray pillow cases that matched her bed sheets. Ray had a fluffy dark pink blanket underneath her sheets that she usually slept wrapped in. Her dark gray comforter was decorated with little dark pink designs. There were hearts that were broken and intact, little donuts, stars, cute animal faces, heart and crossbones, cute bows, moons in all different phases, cute skulls, unicorns, lightning bolts, clouds, suns, and a bunch of other things. Ray's teddy bear was a gift from when she was going through a very hard time when she was young. The bear was dark gray with a lighter gray tummy, snout, and inner ears, dark pink button eyes, a black nose, a dark pink bow on its left ear, and it smelled like cherry vanilla soda, Ray's favorite drink. She didn't like cherry vanilla coke, just soda that was a combo of cherry and vanilla. Ray had named the bear Vera, which is Russian for faith. Ray's parents were from America, where Ray was born, but they moved to Russia to help take care of Ray's paternal great grandmother, who was in Russia when Ray was three months old. Ray's maternal family had been in America for a long time, but Ray's paternal family was different.

His grandmother was born in Russia and had his mother in America after moving there with his American grandfather, but their divorce had lead to his grandmother moving back to Russia to live with family. Ray's grandmother had moved to Russia to be with her mother when her father was about ten years old. She still visited him and sent him cards, but she had divorced his father when he cheated on her and didn't feel like seeing her ex-husband. Ray had lived in Russia for most of her early life. Her great grandmother passed away when she was three and then her grandmother passed away when she was four. Her parents decided to move back to America with their daughter. Ray was fluent in both Russian and English and didn't really have a specific accent for anywhere, so she didn't have to change much. However, Ray was still going through a lot of change as she returned to her birthplace. Her parents gave her the bear when she was in the hospital after getting really sick. Having the bear gave Ray faith that everything would get better and that she should always have faith in something. Vera was the reason that Ray wasn't lonely and distant and friendless. Ray first met Lily in the Library in Kindergarten.
