In the Clouds

Ch. 7

        I trudged up the stairs with my heavy backpack on my back. I put the heavy bag down, expecting that feeling of having a weight lifted from my shoulders. I never got it. The sadness of what Jade did to me weighed me down all on its down. I didn't know who to turn to. Just like my problem of when I started developing feelings for Luke, I have no one to talk to this about. I would always talk to Jade about everything. I never once thought I wouldn't be able to talk to her about something. Until now. I either have to keep this sadness inside of me or tell someone other than Jade. Who could I possibly tell, since I would go crazy if I kept this inside me? I decided Luke would be the best person to talk to about this. I wondered if he already knew. After all, he probably was on twitter a lot, to keep up with the fans and all.

Me: Luke, did u see the thing on twitter about us going to the beach?    :(. I thought that would be the most subtle way to bring it up. He didn't reply until after a while.

Luke: I heard of it, yeah. Don't let it upset you. Its stupid. Fans are great but they do stuff like that all the time. It'll blow over.

Me: I guess your right, but it turned out that Jade started it.

Luke: Your best friend?

Me: More like my ex best friend. :( She was coming by my place to get some of her stuff back from me when she saw u in the car and started crying cause your in 5sos and everything. Then she got mad cause I was leaving with you so she followed and did that whole thing on twitter. I still hadn't talked to or forgiven Jade, but I felt that weight was lifted from my shoulders after telling Luke.

Luke: I had no idea that she was the one who started it. That's really harsh of her to do.

Me: IKR. So, what would you do if one of your best friends did that to you? This should be interesting.

Luke: Well, my best friends and i have been friends for years and we are in a band together so we kinda HAVE to get along. I would probably forgive them. I'm a forgiving person. Not right away, though. I would make it last long enough to make sure they don't do that to me again.

Me: I want to forgive Jade so badly but I don't want to seem naive.

Luke: This won't be easy but its not the end of the world. Just a tweet. He made it seem to little, so meaningless. It made me want him more. Wait, want him?

Me: LOL when u put it that way I feel stupid.

Luke: LOL don't. Haha, the guys are making fun of me for texting u right now.

Me: Seriously? LOL. Tell them I said hi.

Luke: Sure thing. They say hi too. I actually have to go we are gonna go get ready to play another show :). Why did I get a little upset that he was leaving. Maybe I did like Luke, if even a little.

Me: okay :) Good luck. TTYL Bye!

Luke: Bye!!!!

        I felt better after that, a lot better. Luke made all the sadness and pain from what Jade did to me go away. It really was unbelievable what she did to me. She betrayed me, which is so unlike her. She was always the best friend that bought those little necklaces at Claire's, the magnetic half hearts. She always bought the matching shirts and phone cases. She always seemed to put more effort into our relationship. That was, until 5sos came along. Then I started practically dragging her to our sleepovers.
