“Oh my god, what happened to you?!” Jimin screams through the café, as soon as the bell on the door chimes.
Yoongi winces as Jin steps in.
Jimin had yelled the exact same question to him this morning, when Yoongi came to work. His knuckles definitely looked better than the night before, but he still opted to wear gloves today.
Yoongi couldn’t hide the scratches in his face, and the dark shadows under his eyes, though.
He had spent quite a while lying awake, after Jin had brought him home.
The adrenaline and happiness after disappeared after entering his small flat, and Yoongi had to work himself through a mild anxiety attack.
His thigh, where the man had touched him was itching, and Yoongi was shaking in the shower when he thought about possibly encountering him and his gang again on his way to work or back.
Then, Jin had texted him, a simple “I’m home, good night <3”, and Yoongi’s thoughts were lead elsewhere.
What were they now? Dating? A couple? Dare Yoongi say it? Boyfriends?
Seokjin hadn’t asked him, and he hadn’t either, so he guesses it’s all still pretty open.
Many thoughts keep him awake, and when he shows up at work, he’s slept about two hours.
He had explained what happened to Jimin, and the elder had urged him to report them. Yoongi isn’t sure if he wants to.
The day goes on as normal.
Seokjin has a big bandage plastered across his nose, and everyone can see the dark purple bruising spreading out underneath it.
He laughs a little awkwardly.
“I already told you.” Yoongi speaks from the side.
“You didn’t tell me it was this bad!” Jimin yells at him, before making it his own personal mission to make Jin feel comfortable. With pampering the elder, Jimin kind of defeats the purpose of the whole café, but Yoongi can’t hold it against him.
After last night, Yoongi doesn’t feel like he could be overly mean to him. Jin risked himself for him, and they talked and…
Yoongi likes him.
He accepted that, yesterday, when he summoned up all of his courage and kissed the elder’s cheek.
“Yoongi!” Jimin yells, and Yoongi snaps out of it, looking over to the table.
“Get your boyfriend a piece of that strawberry cheesecake!”
Yoongi blushes furiously, when he sees all eyes in the café turn on him, and his coworkers giggle.
“H-he’s not my boyfriend!” Yoongi yells back and curses himself for stuttering.
Jin is not his boyfriend, yet.
“Shoo.” Jimin grins and wiggles his hand at him. Yoongi grumbles, face red as a tomato, and stomps over to the kitchens.
