“You fucked up.” Jeon says, matter of factly and Seokjin sighs into his paperwork.

“Don’t you think I know?” he replies to his friend. Jeon had said that exact thing three times now, and Jin knew

He knew when Yoongi had shied away from his touch and had run out on him. He doesn’t need Jeon to tell him.

“What am I supposed to do? He doesn’t pick up and doesn’t reply to my texts. I can’t just show up at his work or apartment either. He’d never forgive me then, if I started following him.”

He bangs his head against his desk and sighs again. He hasn’t done anything productive these past few days, he hates his job even more now, that he can’t look forward to seeing Yoongi.

Haeun had understood when Jin demanded them to break things off immediately, and he supposes their plan worked in the end because their parents lay off.

But he can’t be happy at this. Their plan had worked but at what cost? If he just had told Yoongi from the beginning, then everything would’ve been fine now.

“Maybe you should just wait till he responds then. If you’re so sure that he wouldn’t like you showing up at the café.” Jungkook pats his bosses head.

“I’m sure. How’d you feel if you had to serve me coffee after I cheated on you.”

Jeon sighs, and pokes Jin’s nose.

“But hyung, you didn’t cheat on him. Nothing’s lost yet, don’t give up.”

“I technically lied to him.”

He didn’t cheat, but how can he make Yoongi believe that? The younger doesn’t even believe him about his family anymore. He feels bad, but he has no idea how to make it up to Yoongi.

How to make him believe him.

“We’ll find a way, hyung. I’ll help you.” Jungkook reassuringly pats Jin on the back. The elder lifts his head a little, so he can smile at him. He’s really glad that Jeongguk is his friend.

All alone, he wouldn’t know what to do.

Jin is in the middle of watching a horror movie when his phone rings. It happens at the same time the ghost on TV let’s out an ear curling scream, but he only startles at the caller ID.

His father.

He sighs in annoyance as he mutes the TV. What does he want?

The whole breakup with Haeun was merely a week ago, so what now?

Hesitantly, he picks up.

“Yes, father.” He says, barely stopping himself from letting the annoyance slip into his voice.

“Good that you’re picking up, Seokjin-ah, I’ve got great news!” his father laughs. Seokjin rolls his eyes.

“What is it?” he asks, and decides to shut off the TV completely. He’s not in the mood anymore.

“A nice lady I met at work today was asking to meet you! I thought we could arrange a dinner, now that you’re finally over that phase—“

Jin zones out. This is something he didn’t really mind when he and Haeun set their plan in motion. Now his parents thought he was open for women, in their mind they were right after all.
