I grabbed a towel and shut the bathroom door.

Turning on the hot water I let the bathtub fill. I put my hair up in a bun and soaked for an hour while listening to calming music.

And the my phone rang.

I groaned and grabbed my phone off the toilet.

An unknown number.

I debated on whether or not I should answer.
After a slight pause, I sighed and answered.
"Hello?"

"Hi, this is Ashlee, I'm an employee at the Among Us Live Action Gameplay Studio," My heart rate sped up. "I'm calling to confirm your submission?"

"Yes, I submitted a form," I smiled.

"Excellent, and you wanted to enter the game with Dawn Crawford?"

I nodded, then realised she couldn't see that, "Um, yes."

"Wonderful. Alright, how does the 18th sound?"

"Perfect!"

"I'll call Dawn and tell her you reserved a date for the 18th. Just show up to the same building you dropped your forms at and they will direct you from there."

"Is there anything I need to bring?"

Ashlee paused. "No, unless you need medication. Food, water, and shelter will be provided."

"Alright, thank you!"

The phone went silent. I sat in the bath and squealed.

My dad knocked on the door, "Adeline, are you okay?" He asked.

I laughed, "Yeah, dad, I'm okay, I just got good news. I'll tell you about it later!"

I clicked on Dawn's icon, and waited for her to pick up.

"What do you need Adeline?" Dawn asked.

"Has she called you yet?"

"Has who called me?" Dawn asked.

"Then she hasn't yet, okay, I'll let you go so you don't miss her call, but they told me we have a game on the 18th!"

Dawn went silent, "No. Way."

I hung up and let her wait for Ashlee to call her.

I got up out of my bath, the thought of trying to relax now was dwarfed by the excitement.

More waiting.

~~×~~

Luckily for me, 2 days is not a lot of time to wait.

My parents were totally supportive and they wanted me to tell them when I got to the building, and when I left.

I told them it might be a few days.

They told me, "It'll be like you're camping!"

...

I picked up Dawn early in the morning.

She was just as excited as I was, bouncing down to the car, she had her hair in a short ponytail, and we matched with a blue T-shirt and grey jeans.

Besides my keys, and my phone (and my licence tucked in my phone case) I had nothing else on me. Dawn only held her phone as she hopped in my car. I waved to her parents and Justin.

She squealed as she got inside. "I can't believe we're doing this. I'm so excited."

The entire drive to the building was full of an exciting buzz that radiated from each other and bounced around the car.
