I walked home alone again.
It was quieter and the creak was not crowded with insects.
Only a couple crickets.
It was Early summer and in 2 weeks it would be the Summer Dance.
Jason didn't ask me until late.
"Alexi?... Would you come with me to the summer dance?" He asked
How could I say no?
"Of course!" I said.

My life was quieter, simpler. No rowdy fights or fights with Olive. I was protected by Jason.
The night I was trying on my dress there was a knock at the door.
I opened it and Olive stood outside

I froze and gulped.

"Alexi? Oh. I was looking for Jason. Goodbye." Olive said turning around
"Wait. What do you want with him?" I asked worriedly.
"Just to talk. Jeez, such a worrier." Olive rolled her eyes and left.

I didn't feel comfortable with her going to his house. I followed her as His parents let her inside. I climbed up a tree near his bedroom window.
I saw Olive enter as Jason close his book.
"Olive? What are you doing here? We're done remember?" Jason said.
"Yeah.. Well we need to talk." Olive said sitting on his bed.
"About what?" Jason grumbled
"Why did you leave me? Weren't we happy together? And Why Alexi?" Olive asked.
"Because you were being a snob to everyone. We weren't happy, I wasn't happy. Alexi? She is the most cutest, sweetest and kindest girl ever. You aren't." Jason said calmly.
Olive looked hurt at the last part.
She sat closer to him.
"Jason, you don't know what mistake your making. Alexi is a heartbreaker. She will hurt you." Olive lied.
I couldn't believe her.
"Didn't you do the same?" Jason growled.
Olive stared into his eyes.
"You're going to love me." She hissed as she kissed him.
I was shocked. I didn't have words to explain my anger. He broke my trust.

I nearly fell off the tree.
And I wish I did.
