A month after witnessing the interaction between Moses and Jenna, Moses ended things with me. I had convinced myself that he and I could work if we were together more, so I had broken up with Joel - who had taken great pleasure in telling me that he had been having an affair with Yasmine and that Moses and Jenna had been together. And not only together - they had apparently gotten married about ten years ago and they had a daughter. A happy and healthy almost ten-year-old daughter. When I confronted Moses, he admitted it - and that he wanted to be with Jenna again. Joel also informed me that he had spent a night with Nyla.
A few days after Moses and I separated, Joel and I decided that we were going to try again with our relationship. We had gone to Toronto to my aunt's for two weeks and decided that we were going to try. The night we returned to New York, we went to Moses and Cristian's night club, Aquarius - where Jenna was headlining a burlesque show. I didn't want to go, but Joel insisted, so we did.
I couldn't tear my eyes away from Moses - who couldn't tear his eyes off of Jenna. During her entire performance, he stood at the end of the bar, his arms folded as he bit his bottom lip and watched her move across the stage. I don't think he even noticed the other dancers on the stage. At one point during the dance, someone spilled a drink on her. Jenna paused momentarily before continuing her dance. The minute the performance was done, she ran off towards the bathroom... and Moses followed. I sat in my seat. I needed to know if they were together. If I was to move on with Joel, I needed to know with 100% certainty that Moses was with her. I told Joel I had to go to the bathroom and went off after them.
"Wear this," Moses gave her his shirt. Jenna was standing in front of the sink, dapping her corset with a wet paper towel.
"Thanks," she took the shirt and pulled it on. She looked up at Moses and their eye met through the mirror. She turned around and looked at him.
"Your show was great," Moses said. "You should think about doing it again. We can make it a weekly or monthly thing."
"You'd let me dance here weekly?" she looked up at him in surprise.
"Well, you're clothes and... I'm here, so," he shrugged his shoulders. "You're kind of hypnotic up there. I couldn't take my eyes off you."
"Were you pretending it was your personal show?" Jenna laughed a little as she poked her finger into his chest.
Moses bit his bottom lip as his hand moved up to her neck. Jenna leaned into his hand. With his free hand, Moses reached over and pulled a string on her corset, loosening it up. He leaned forward and kissed her as his hands traveled down her body.
"We can't do that here," she was very breathy as she spoke. She looked up him.
He said something that was barely audible as he hoisted her onto the sink and lifted her right leg and placed it around his waist. Whatever he said, Jenna smiled as she shook her head.
"Can we go upstairs, then? Please tell me we can go upstairs, because there is no way possible I'm going to make it through the night with you wearing that and my shirt and be able to keep my hands off of you."
"Okay," she mouthed.
I turned around, ready to leave and froze in my spot one I saw Moses' ex, Nyla, standing behind me. She had a smirk on her face and I doubt I was able to hide the heartbreak that was written all over my face. I didn't have a chance to hide it.
"Doesn't it suck to see someone you love with someone else?" Nyla smirked as she looked at me.
I didn't respond.
"You thought you had his heart, didn't you? I guess we were both wrong, huh? He reunites with his first love and dropped both of us like a bad habit."
