I've had a few bizzare dreams recently. Well more vivid dreams then normal at least. Let me I light you to the latest.

I walked down a well lit up part of the city. I was on my way back from work. My door badge still wrapped tightly on my arm. It's about four in the morning and the Autumn air is nipping at me even through my many layers. My headphones cover my ears as I listen to  some random emo song from the early 2000s.

The music is helping keep my anxiety in check as I walk. What I didn't plan on was the man jumping out from the corner at the end of the road. He's holding something but I can't see what as I watch his mouth move.

I pull my headphones down to hear him. Knocking my ponytail with them as I place them around my neck.

"Give me you're money and phone." He demanded.

"Excuses?" I questioned with a frown.

"You heard me. Give it to me now." He ordered.

"No." I simply say.

"I'm not playing with you." He says as he moves into the light a little more and that's when I see it.

The dull long blade in his hand. He wasn't joking but I am stubborn and definitely wasn't giving up my stuff. I lose my phone I won't be able to replace it. I also didn't think he'd do much on the middle of the street lisk this.

"I told you no." I replied, taking a slight  step back.

He said nothing before lunging at me. I didn't react quick enough and he managed to stab me straight through the ribs. I knew this was definitely more than a three inch blade and it only takes three to puncture a lung or my heart.

I screamed in pain as I felt the skin break. The blade slid between the ribs as the muscles gave ways and broke. It was as if everything began to happen in slow motion.

I felt him wiggle the knife inside as it hit against my insides. He then pulled the knife out. I looked down as the blood polled out of me. I fell to the ground slowly, hitting the concrete with a hard thud. He stood over me as I looked to the sky.

'It's over.' I thought as this man who was actually more of a boy than a man began to riffle through my pockets.

He soon found everything he wanted and made a run for it. I looked up at the stary sky. The dark colours of the night where beginning to fade to the bright of the day.

I whizzed in pain. Trying little to move. I knew I need to keep pressure on the wound but I was just so tired. It was as if the air was flowing straight from my lung to out of the wound.

I wonder how long it will take them to find me. I wonder if they'll catch the man who did this. I wonder if they'll tell my family or university first.

I let out a gasped laugh as I realised this person had ended my life over a fun worth nothing and two cards. One card had 30p in the account and the other had nothing but minuses. Wonder how mad he'll be when he finds out.

Just before I let out my last breath my eyes shot open. Its about four in the morning and I'm on the verge of crying. I feel for him beside me and find him.

'Relief.'

I grab for him, waking him up. I'm sure but I pull my body into him anyway. My hearts pound not only against my chest but his too. His arms wrap round me and he kisses the top of my head. He probably doesn't even know what just happened or how close to tears I am but that doesn't matter. He knew exactly what I wanted, what I need even without saying a word. It was simply just him.
