~Janelle Walker~

"I love Wensday Vale family dinners," I exclaim. Elizabeth rolls her eyes as she pulls up to her driveway.

Every Wednesday I go over to her house for family dinner and sleep over. Wensday is usually the day that Jasmine and Toby both work late and send Jocelyn to Toby's sister's house. So, I come to Ellie's house.

I grab my bag from the back and open the door and hop out. Ellie opens the front door and immediately it's chaos.

Ellie has five brothers. Her parents, similar to mine, had an obsession with the letter 'E' while mine had one with 'J'.

There's E.J. who's two years older than Ellie and me. Next is Emmett, who's a couple months older than us. Elliot is the third and is a sophomore. Fourth is Eli who's an eighth grader. Last but not least is Evan who's the youngest and bestfriends with Jocelyn. All of them have the same blonde hair and hazel eyes as Ellie, except Emmett who has light brown hair instead of blonde.

We walk in and Eli is running around with a Nerf gun screaming bloody murder. Elliot is chasing him with a throw pillow from the living room couch. Emmett is no where to be seen and Evan is sitting in the middle of it playing with his toys.

"What the hell?!" Ellie screams. Eli immediately stops running and so does Elliot. Emmett comes running down the stairs and Evan looks up from his toys.

"Mind telling me what's going on," Ellie questions.

"The little turd was pelting me with his stupid Nerf gun," Elliot explains.

"You were the one who stole the remote from me!" Eli yells.

"You guys are unbelievable," I mutter. All their eyes go from Ellie to me.

"Janelle!" Evan shrieks. He stands up and runs over and wraps his arms around my legs.

"Hey, there blondie." I ruffle the top of his head.

"I thought I was Blondie," says Emmett. I look up and meet his eyes. I smile.

"No, your Emmie, plus your not even blonde," I tease.

"You better watch it." He points a threatening finger at me and grins. I stick my tongue out at him playfully. He chuckles and walks back upstairs.

"Will you play with me," asks Evan.

"Maybe later, alright." Evan nods and runs back over to toys. I turn back to Elliot and Eli. Ellie seems to be yelling at them. I chuckle and walk up the stairs to Ellie's room. I throw my stuff in her room and walk over to Emmett's room.

I walk into his room without knocking. I fling myself onto the bed and lay beside him. He glances at me and takes out his earplugs.

"Can I help you?"

"What? I can't come hang out with my bestfriend's cool older brother?"

"No." I narrow my eyes at him.

"Fine." I start to get up, but he grabs my wrist stopping me.

"Wait, since you did call me cool, I guess you could stay." I roll my eyes and lay back down.

"So, how's the new house," he asks.

"It's okay, I guess."

"And the neighbors?"

"Well, there's a guy our age and he's kind of hot," I admit.

"Ohh." Emmett nudges my arm and I laugh.

"So what's the hottie's name," Emmett questions.

"Ew did you just say hottie?"

"Yes, now what's his name?" I laugh and look up at the ceiling.
