Introduction

Hisoka (Narrates) This is the story of how I died sadly. But! Don't worry, this is actually a very fun...interesting...story. And the truth is, it isn't even mine~. This is the story of a boy named, Illumi, the eldest of the Zoldyck family, a very strong..beautiful...did I say strong~?Family... (cough) It starts, with the moon.

Now...once upon a time, a single drop of moonlight fell from the heavens. This small drop of light, grew a bright, majestic, flower. It had the ability to heal the sick, and injured~. (Zazan enters the scene.) Oh, you see that old woman, over there? You might want to remember her. She's kind of important I guess~ (Zazan leaves the scene.) Well, centuries passed and a hop skip and a boat ride away there grew a kingdom. The kingdom was ruled by a strong b.i.g. King and Queen. The Queen, well she was about to have a baby, and she got sick, really terribly sick. (Hisoka says with a sarcasm tone) She was running out of time.

That's when people started to look for a miracle. Or in this case, a magic golden flower. (Zazan enters the scene.) Ah!, I told you she'd be important. You see instead of sharing the Moon's gift, this 'creature' lady thing, Zazan, hoarded its healing power and used it to keep herself young and beautiful for hundreds of years. All she had to do was sing a special song.

Zazan: (singing) ♪Light needs dark to live, Darkeness needs the light, Power's harmony, so let these two unite, Let them unite....♪

Hisoka: (He narrates.) Yeah yeah, you guys get the jist. She sings, she turns young and pretty. Cool, right? Anyways~

Guards: We found it!

Hisoka: (he narrates.) The magic of the majestic flower, healed the queen. A healthy baby boy, a prince was born. With beautiful long black hair, eyes dark and mysterious with no light hinted at. I'll give you a hint~. That's illumi~ hehe.. To celebrate his birth, the King and Queen launched a flying lantern into the sky. For that one moment, everything was perfect. Mmm...~until then that moment ended.

(Zazan, aged again, sneaks into the nursery. Illumi is asleep in his crib. Zazan lifts a strand of his dark black hair and draws a pair of scissors from her cloak)

Zazan: (singing) ♪light needs dark to live, Darkness needs the light (eyes widen watching the strands of hair lifting up as if there was strong wind around the room,) Power's harmony.. so let t——-♪

(She cuts the strand of his hair and it's magic of that strand completely goes away falling upon the mattress, powerless.)

Zazan: [shocked gasp]

Hisoka: (narrates.) Zazan broke into the castle and stole the child. Just like that... gone. The Kingdom searched and searched, but they could not find the Prince. For deep within the forest, in a hidden tower, Zazan raised the boy as her own.

(Cut scene to the hidden tower. Zazan is brushing Illumi's hair.)

Illumi: (singing) ♪...let the light unite... let them unite...

Hisoka: ( narrates.) Zazan had found her new magic flower. But this time she was determined to keep 'it' hidden.

Illumi: Why can't I go outside? [tone so cold and lifeless, with no hint of joy]

Zazan: The outside world is a dangerous place. Filled with horrible, selfish people. You must stay here, where you're safe. Do you understand, my little flower~?

Illumi: Yes. [nodding in agreement]

Hisoka: (narrates) But the walls of that tower could not hide everything. Each year on his birthday, the King and Queen released thousands of lanterns into the sky in hope that one day, their lost Prince would soon return little knowing about the family and siblings he had back there~
