CHAPTER 14

-PART TWO-

MUSIC ON: End of the World

(...music starts to play...)

Why does the sun go on shining?

The road was a smooth black river; sort wheels float so effortlessly along. And so as our wheels made its steady way along. A two-passenger, front-engine, rear-drive sports car the famous 1966 Volvo 1800s, raised down the freeway, travelling the direction where the Pita Club Bomber Shop located. Knight-Drain Pendelton was sitting in front of the passenger seat with so much soft leather around him.

Why does the sea rush to shore?

A painted black with gold striping, and they were typically ordered as Sport coupes with gold Deluxe interiors, the 1967 Chevrolet Camaro Black Panther, as Price has a taste of royalty, it has a deluxe interior fitted the cars with such items as molded door panels, a trunk mat, seat trim, bright pedals and roof rail moldings.

Don't they know it's the end of the world?

While Gray pulled his 1978 AMC Matador a hundred thousand pounds' worth of German engineering. consisted of a staid four door sedan, a station wagon, and an uninspired two-door hardtop.

'Cause you don't love me anymore

Why do the birds go on singing?

Without awareness Knight-Lock overturned his 1966 Ford Mustang Convertible on the road, his car moved over the highway, lights on full beam.

Bastards.

Why do the stars glow above?

The scenery took on an almost meditative quality, the light igniting the hues of each tree and home. The road doesn't rise and don't sink. It stretches onward, hugging the land, taking each turn in easy stride. It is a grey that has welcomed many suns, become silvery as it soaked in the rays. I let my eyes run over each hue, seeing imperfections as if it was the first time, yet feeling that as details created by an artistic hand, they render it more beautiful. The streets are the most private of public spaces, much the same as walking in a country lane in some rural place. Yet if you are okay with solitude, if you matured passed the point of loneliness to feel your own worth, there is a vibrancy here that can uplift the soul.

Don't they know it's the end of the world?

As we reach the said location we immediately pulled our wheels into a parking spot on Main Street.

Hearing the sound of bell located on top of the door makes me feel at home blend it with the aroma from the shop's kitchen.

It feels so good.

"God knows how I missed this place" Knight-Lock stated as we come inside and smell the aroma of cooked decker.

We entered at a specific red door with "DO NOT DISTURB" sign on it.

"This is my bunker where I worked on series of tasks and cases." Knight-Drain stated as he walks first on our way in.

We immediately go downstairs; his so-called bunker contains a beige sort museum type of retro computers. The kind in the 90s with a giant CRT monitors and noisy hard disks & fans. "buzz" and "hum" are not as noisy as this one.

"This place was pretty cool Drain" Price utters as he looks around and touch the things as if it was in the royal movies.

"Thanks!" he calmly stated while checking something on his computer.
