"Where am I?"

Ash was struggling, trying to open his eyes. Everything felt like it was wasn't right, soon enough, he realized where he was. He instantly felt this deep, unbearable pain which made it hard for him to breathe. It was still bleeding from where Lao had stabbed him. Ash had no idea how he even managed to wake up.

After what happened, he slowly started to remember. He stared at his hands that were stained with blood, his breath quickened. This feeling seemed to never go away. Ash thought it was over. Oh how wrong he was.

The moment he closed his eyes, all he could think of was how relieved he was to be free. He was free from his past, free from all pain. Everything he ever had to experience seemed to finally come to an end.

But it wasn't over, and he knew it.

When Ash stood up, he saw no one in the library. His blood was dripping everywhere. It was indeed strange, he thought. Since he was laying there with a stab wound, and blood smeared all across the floor. How could no one have noticed him? This definitely wasn't right. It was late at night and snowing all over New York, Ash was trying to walk, still struggling. The blonde boy was freezing, despite being fully, warmly dressed. He did not remember the last time he felt this cold and alone. The beautiful night sky. He could not stop glancing at it, that's how beautiful it was. Ash wondered what the real reason was. The reason why he had survived. "..I should've died."

"Wait.."

"..Where is it?" He mumbled to himself, looking everywhere around him. Eiji's letter was gone. Was still at the library? Ash seemed to be more worried about the letter than he was about himself. Right now, the letter was everything to him, not caring about how badly he was injured at the moment. It was from Eiji. All the time, all he thought about was Eiji.

The blonde could not think about anyone else at the moment. This thought calmed him very much, finally, he was safe. Was he already in Japan? It was all his fault. He blamed himself for everything the japanese boy had to endure. Eiji had never deserved that. All he went trough was because of him. Ash had so many questions, but he couldn't focus at all. Finding Eiji's letter was his number one priority. But Ash couldn't walk back there. He did not know how to, he was not even able to breathe.

Ash kept walking, holding his stomach while his blood continued dripping on the ground. Why couldn't he just die? It was too hard and exhausting for him to keep going. There was no reason for him to stay alive anymore. That was what he simply deserved.

It would've happened one way or another.

"What is keeping me here?"
Ash collapsed, he fell and was laying in the snow. He couldn't fight and didn't want to anymore. He felt his whole body go completely numb, not being able to move or speak. Eiji he kept thinking. If he died, then at least his last thought should be about him, since it seemed to giving him comfort. It was as if he did not have a single care in the world anymore. After all these years, he finally found someone who loved him for who he was.
