Chapter 17

—MUIG—

Baekhyun never felt this much delight ever in his entire life, well except for that time when his family literally tempted him with the thought of giving him his dream car. But this moment was better than that.

However, a very think atmosphere filled Chanyeol's Mercedes-Benz, though it was only the puppy that felt very uncomfortable and awkward by it. The owner just focused on the road.

"Where are we heading?" Baekhyun asked, breaking the thick ice in the air as well as curious to where they are heading. Chanyeol only smiled.

"You'll find out soon", the tall man replied, his smile never leaving his lips. Baekhyun felt his insides melt at the small gesture.

How could this man do it??

Baekhyun was so lost in his thoughts of either daydreaming the man of his dreams or asking how does this young hottie beside him make his heart leap from those small and short actions that he didn't notice they have already arrived at their destination.

He only got to look up when he felt the car slow down.

"Two tickets please."

Baekhyun awed at the sight before him. It was like a dream date for him. There were high roller coaster rails that caught his eyes which made him gulp. There were colorful signs that brighten the place. It was only 5 in the afternoon, but the park still was too beautiful to not look at.

"Wahh...", the puppy continued to mesmerize it. Chanyeol swore that he saw plenty of glitters and sparkles in his puppy-like eyes that were so similar to a little child. A genuine smile etched on his lips once more. He couldn't take his eyes off Baekhyun, while Baekhyun couldn't take his eyes off the view.

Finally, Chanyeol made the little puppy come back to his senses when he said that he will be able to see it closer if they go inside now. Baekhyun nodded with ecstasy, looking forward to their "date" in the amusement park.

It was any ordinary so-called date. They strolled from this shop to that shop, trying on Halloween masks and matching headbands. They almost looked like a couple.

Speaking of that, a lady approached them and smile endearingly, then complimented them for being such a cute couple that anyone would be jealous of. Baekhyun only smiled nervously and Chanyeol cleared his throat as he felt his blood rushed to his ears.

They left the shop with that atmosphere they had in the car, but this time Chanyeol feels it too.

His head may deny it, yet the heart doesn't have enough courage to tell the brain the true answer.

Baekhyun, who loves to break the fog surrounding them, grabbed the giant's large hand and dragged them by an ice cream stand. They were about a meter away from it since the puppy was just about to pout and ask Chanyeol to give him one.

Chanyeol couldn't say no to him with that look on his face, so of course, he gave in. Whatever the little smurf asked to have, the big Yoda would definitely give it to him. Like this one time, when there was a shooting game, Baekhyun puckered his lips as he stared at a big plushie hanging on a wall. Chanyeol noticed this and went towards the booth then grabbed a toy gun.

It was a piece of cake for a guy who loves to take on any kind of challenge and who loves to win almost every time. In no time, they received the prize. Chanyeol gave it to Baekhyun and he was more than happy to get a huge plushie almost the smurf's height. The giant let out a deep chuckle as he watched the little one struggle to walk properly with a doggie in his arms, hugging it ever so tightly as if his life depended on it.

Back to the present, the two sat by a table eating their ice creams in joy all the way. Baekhyun had three largely scooped ice cream on a cone, while Chanyeol had just a kid scoop in his hand. He was kinda expecting a turn of events later on, and he didn't mind if it won't happen.

Chanyeol got to finish his ice cream when he felt someone tugging his shirt. He looked down to see yet again pouty lips on display by Byun Baekhyun.

"Umm... I didn't know I couldn't finish it, so uhh wanna share?"

Chanyeol laughed and shook his head at the latter. Baekhyun gave him a mischievous grin in return.

He went by the ice cream stand again and asked for a spoon. Within seconds, he went back and sat down with the little puppy and ate the ice cream in euphoria. It was as if they were in their own little world.

The two were now sat down on one of the pods in the large Ferris wheel after their little treat. The puppy viewed the outside world with wonder in his eyes at how beautiful the place was as the dark night engulfed the bright park.

"Pretty...", Baekhyun muttered in a low voice but the giant never failed to not hear it.

As pretty as you.
