Ash was in a deep sleep dreaming

about Lusamine who was slowly approaching a man who simply smiled at her.

Lusamine squinted her eyes. It was dark and she really wanted to see who was in the room with her.

Before the mysterious man was revealed... confetti fell from the sky?

A very confused Ash woke up to see Pikachu, Hau, Lana, Mallow, and Sophocles activating striped party poppers. They made bright and colorful confetti fly all over the place.

Everyone excluding Pikachu who simply said his name, shouted in delight,"Happy birthday, Ash!"

Ash smiled and asked out loud,"You knew it was today?"

Lana giggled. "Sure did!"

"Your mom called us yesterday and she wanted us to surprise you!" Hau said with a cheerful grin.

Ash asked excitedly as Pikachu happily jumped onto his lap,"She did? That's so awesome!"

Suddenly, Ash remembered the dream he had merely seconds ago.

Mallow was the first to notice the change in Ash's face. "What's wrong, Ash?"

Ash looked up to make eye contact with all of his friends who were looking at him in concern.

Ash said, feeling rather confused,"It's just that I had this strange dream about Lusamine..."

Hau suddenly asked in shock,"You did?"

Mallow put on a small smile and told Ash,"I think Lillie and Gladion would be very interested in that dream you had.

Ash said as he jumped out of bed,"Yeah! I've got to tell them right away!"

Ash ran out of Kukui's house only to sheepishly walk back to ask his friends,"Where are they exactly?"

At the Pokemon School, Professor Kukui, Kahuna Hala, Kiawe, Lillie, Gladion, Hobbes, Ash's Rowlet, and Rotom Dex were getting everything ready for Ash's birthday party.

Kukui said as he wiped off some sweat,"Woo! That should do it!" He soon turned to face Rotom Dex who was floating next to him. "Rotom, the list please."

Rotom Dex smiled brightly as he got out a sheet of paper and gave it to the professor.

With a satisfied grin on his face, Kukui placed a check mark next to snack preparation.

"It was kind of you to excuse yourself from your training to help us with the party, Master Gladion." Hobbes remarked in a fond manner.

Gladion smiled slightly. "It was nothing."

To Gladion's surprise, Hala laughed and said,"Nothing? Don't be so modest young man. One's kind heart is never left unappreciated."

Gladion said, feeling a tiny bit embarrassed,"Hey, this day is about Ash, not me."

Lillie couldn't help but smile. She was putting the pile of napkins on a table when Hau could be heard shouting happily,"We're here!"

Kahuna Hala laughed. "And just in time too! We went all out to make this party sensational!"

Ash said in mild embarrassment, "You guys didn't have to do all this..."

Suddenly, a certain food caught Ash's attention. "Are those jelly donuts?"

Kukui smiled. "They sure are."

Ash, Pikachu, and Hau ran to get a good look of the delicious treats. Ash said in awe,"Aww, man they look great!"

Pikachu said in agreement,"Pika!"

Within minutes, everyone was enjoying the party.

Mallow, who was seated at a table with Lana and Kiawe, said,"I heard it took all of Ash's six Pokemon to defeat Lurantis."

Kiawe said calmly,"I'm not surprised... The moves she uses can be quite frustrating."

Lana smiled as her Popplio leaped onto the table. He immediately noticed a dish placed in front of Mallow. With glimmering eyes, Popplio started eating the food.

Kiawe gasped. "Popplio, don't eat that!"

Mallow frowned at Kiawe. "What are you implying?"

All of a sudden, Popplio happily nudged his head against Mallow's chest.

Mallow said with slightly exaggerated passion,"Finally! Someone who actually likes my spicy food!

Ash was munching on a jelly donut when he could see Lillie and Gladion caring for their Pokemon in the distance.

Ash suddenly said to himself,"Oh, right! I better go tell them the dream I had."

Gladion was brushing the last of the dirt on Type: Null when he noticed Ash and Pikachu approaching him and his sister.

Gladion asked Ash as he got up on his feet,"Is there something wrong?"

Ash replied rather nervously,"It was pretty weird but I dreamt about your mom last night."

Gladion and Lillie could only stare at Ash in complete shock.

Suddenly, Kahuna Hala stepped in and said,"Sorry for budging in like this, but Ash... I meant to give you something."

Ash eyes bulged in awe at the sight of Hala's gift... a glowing crystal ball.
