After a long night of tossing and turning i ultimately give up on trying to get a good night's sleep.
Hopping out of bed, I look around my new room. Satisfied on how I organized everything. I check my cell to see if any of my friends from Houston texted me, sadly no love.
I toss my phone on the bed and walk to my dresser picking out some black leggings and a red off shoulder sweatshirt.I scan the room for my running shoes and spot them by closet.
I take in my appearance, my long wavy black hair is like a lions mane around my heart shaped face. My ice blue eyes stand out harshly against my dark hair and tan complexion.
I see the scar that slits through my left eye brow down below my eye . I usually cover it up with make up, but with the move and non-stop sweating I haven't applied my usual mask.
The scar brings memories ive shoved down deep ,and it knocks the breath from lungs. The sides of my vision starts to black out and become blurry.
I feel the panic attack emerging quickly.
I drop to the ground instantly and place my forehead to my knees."Breathe in, breathe out!!! He is gone and will never find you, he will never hurt you again!!" I chant to myself over and over again.
My heart beat slows.
I hear paws scratching at my door, pepper pushes the door open and is quickly by my side licking my hands.
She always knows when im having a episode. She can smell it or something, she will find me and stay with me for hours.
I peak my head up and wipe the tears that escaped me.
"Oh pepper, what would i do without you?" I whisper while petting the spot on her head between her ears.
She licks my cheek where the stream of salty tears had fallen.
Wrapping my arms around her furry neck I give her a hug.
"Wanna go for a run pepper?" I ask in my cutesy voice, getting her all excited.
I lift myself up and pull my lions mane in my signature messy bun.
Putting my cell in my side pocket of my leggings I tip toe down the stairs so to not wake my father and brother.
I walk by the back door grabbing peppers leash. Shes so excited she's doing her cute little dance. Her tail is wagging and bottom is a all over the place.
We walk around to the front of the house. I look around and notice the sun hasn't risen yet but the sky is becoming a lighter shade of blue.
I wrap peppers stretch leash around my wrist and we set off down the road. She keeps up with me with no problem, or maybe its me keeping up with her.
We run about three miles only stopping a handful of times for her to potty or to smell something that seemed very interesting to her.
On our way back we pass our neighbors house. Its almost identical to ours but theirs is yellow with green trimming. The house we moved into is chipped grey paint with dark red trimming.
I double take when I notice movement and see someone standing by the tree on the side of the house.
I stop and get a better look, when they see me staring and walk up to me.
The guy looks about my age. He's shirtless and wearing only a pair of blue basketball shorts and some sneakers.
He has blonde hair, its pulled up in a man bun on top of his head. He looks like he stepped out of a surfers model magazine.
