He didn't want to continue.
He wanted to die.
They had just gotten back from Tartarus, but she died.
As her soul was beckoned to Elysium, she managed one phrase.
"Only join me when it is your time, Percy. Don't die to be with me. I know you will do good," as she finished her phrase her voice became soft and wispy, as if you could hear her soul traveling to Hades, "I will watch over you." Her voice trailed on as she took one last painful breath.
Everyone was dead. The seven, many demigods, Gaea, everyone except Percy it seems.
But he knew he was pretty much dead to. Every night he got the nightmares in the same place he had been in for the last six months. Well, it was actually 735years, but that is only because time in Tartarus is kind of off balanced. Anyway (I have ADHD too,) ,every night he was tortured. He was always waking up screaming, so after two days at Camp, he decided to leave the place that gave him too many memories. Sad memories, happy ones, and ones of his wise girl. His wise girl. He wanted to join her , but he also didn't want to disappoint her. All he could do is wish for those cruel old ladies to do one nice thing and let the end be near. While he waited for that, he was going to go to his mother and Gabe's home. He was looking forward to the blue cookies that only he and his mom knew how to make, but she made them better. He was heart broken when he walked into the home and saw something that now would haunt his nightmares too, his mother and Gabe on the floor with a blooded message. 'You killed my wife I kill your family.' Then he heard something that startled him. A cry, his cry. He got out of the home and vapor traveled to the cabin his mother had on the beach. He put his stuff down and ran to the water. the salty air licked his face as he ran waist-deep into the salty ocean. "Dad," he cried, "He killed them". He sobbed as a reassuring man came to him and grabbed him into a warm hug. "I'm so sorry my boy," Poseidon began, "I'll get the m buried." He grabbed Percy and looked him in the eye. It was almost as if Poseidon could tell what his son was thinking. "It wasn't your fault Percy. Neither was anything that you blame yourself for, my boy. Your slate is clean. your aren't guilty of anything." "but I am," Percy began, "It is all my fault. My-Her- and Kallie died from the elevator. It's all my fault."
