Poseidon did get his ex-lover and her husband buried, but purposely got them buried in Queens because Sally wanted to move there once Percy was born. They never got to. The truth was that Poseidon was also shaken by the untimely death, but he knew better. He knew that Percy was the first person to go through Tartarus and come out, much less sane! Percy still wasn't ready to talk about the Pit, so nobody knew how he got out. Much like nobody realized Tartarus still had connections above the ground in which he lives. To be honest it freaked him out, but he had to get Percy sorted first. Even though Percy was blessed by every major and minor god in Olympus, Poseidon knew that he was going to have a very tough time.

Three days after Percy found his parents dead, he moved to Queens in Manhattan. He bought a home close to the graves of his parents and where his father put Ann-no Her- and the rest of the seven. He pledged to himself that he was going to go as often as possible, and everyone was allowed to visit him by Elysium. Even though he couldn't see them, he would feel a shiver in his spine and just know someone was visiting. Although he knew that he didn't know that in a "secure" government facility some one was curiously visiting his file.

S.H.E.I.L.D. Facilities, Nick Fury's Personal Office

Nick Fury was sorting out sensitive files for the first time in years. He felt that he couldn't trust his facility after HYDRA, so he took all of the big shot terrorists that earned themselves classified files, and got to work. With a exaggerated sigh Nick dropped all of the highly classified files on his desk with a big thunk. He thought that he would never find these files interesting, but that was before he saw the thinnest file he had ever seen come out of the S.H.E.I.L.D. system. He curiously looked in the file and was surprised. A SEVENTEEN YEAR OLD?

After thirteen field agents he decided that this was a higher assignment. he flipped up his phone, and pressed a button. "Hello?," the voice answered. "Get them together, Stark." Nick answered. "Say it, say it!" Fury sighed and put his fingers on his temples "Avengers assemble."
