Chapter Seven: La Push

Natalia drives her bike to La Push. She specifically drives to the beach and once she is there, she parks.

She puts the kickstand down before getting off and removing her helmet of her head and her braid shows and she lets out a smile as she smells in the air of the forest and the nearby water.

She puts her helmet on the handle of her bike before walking towards the beach.

Bella might be having an enjoyable night over at the Cullen's tonight for her birthday. Alice had assured her that she would be fine with the Vampires while she was at La Push, out of there reach when she tries to contact Artemis.

She stands in front of the water as it hits the shoreline and she sits down and lays on her back. She clears her mind before speaking aloud, "Artemis? Can we talk? I have a question," She asks before she feels the out of body experience happen again. Her body floats around and she sees Artemis standing in front of her.

"You called, my child?" She calmly says as she sits on a throne with her legs crossed.

Natalia inhales, "I've never tried but I didn't want to feel like an idiot when I did, but can I turn without turning on the Full Moon? I never remember after the Full Moon and the Cullen's always tell me. They always say I play with them because they're bored, mostly Emmett whom does, and I can't remember, no matter how I try," She explains her stressed mind.

Artemis raise a eyebrow, "I'm surprised you haven't tried to do this experiment. Of course you can, with practice obviously, but you can. You are a daughter of the moon, my daughter. You can turn your own free will since you are the best werewolf I have ever gave this gift too," She smiles before she stands from her throne, "Now I have to go, Apollo awaits me in Olympus and you are needed over at the Cullen's. I'll see you soon, daughter," Before Natalia could say anything, Artemis already sent her soul back to her body and then she jumps awake from abruptly entering her body.

She sees that she isn't on the beach anymore but in a house and laying on the sofa. She hears some voices in the kitchen with her enhanced hearing. She deciphers that three are male and one is female.

"-on the beach, laying flat on her back, Sam! That's not normal! To make it worse, she wasn't breathing!" A male yells and Natalia's eyes blink gold then back to brown as she stands up and attracts attention to herself from the female while the males argue.

The female has three long scars running down her face and Natalia studies them, "A Shapeshifter did that?" She questions and immediately all conversation stops among the three men, most likely shapeshifters, and she looks at the curiously.

Her eyes rake over the three men before one speaks, "How are you alive? You weren't breathing," He bluntly puts it as one hits his shoulder.

"Shut it, Jared!" Another harshly whispers, unaware Natalia could still hear them perfectly fine.

She rolls her eyes before crossing her arms, "I didn't know I wasn't breathing so I'm sorry," She simply says and it's true. She didn't know that when she calls upon Artemis that she stops breathing, "How long have I been out. Seems like a while from it being night," She changes the subject.

The one who seems like the leader speaks, "You've been here for a couple minutes. I'm Sam," He nods his head at her and she smiles in greeting, "Those two are Paul and Jared but the other is Emily, my fiancée. Apparently you know we're shapeshifters. Can you tell us why?" He asks, more like orders in a nice way, and Natalia slowly nods.

She sucks her lip before answering, "You might think this is crazy but I'm a werewolf. Not like you-" She quickly cuts in when Paul goes to open his mouth, he lets her continue speaking, "-but like the wolves that turn every Full Moons. I was talking to my... uh... mother? Anyways, Artemis was who I was talking too and apparently whenever I talk to her, I stop breathing so thank you for the discovery," She smiles before pointing at the door, "Now I have to go, I'm needed with the Cullen's," She smiles before exiting and she sees her motorcycle out front, "They drove it here," She nods in approval before putting on her helmet and driving away from the house and to the Cullen's.

She pulls up and she immediately feels something in the air. Something was wrong.

She turns off her bike and she can tell that the Cullen's are unnerved. Natalia's unnerved only because she can't hear a single heartbeat in the house. She looks around and focuses on her hearing but she can't hear Bella anywhere.

*With The Cullen's*

They all stand in the living room after the birthday party incident before a thought runs through someone's head.

"Don't worry, Jasper, I am too," Edward says out of nowhere, after being quiet and glum through the whole thing.

Jasper lets a small smile before it falls, "She would've had my head if she was here,"

"That's Natalia for you,"

Before they could make a different conversation, they all hear a rumbling of a motorcycle and they pale instantly.

Emmett mumbles, "That's not good.."

They hear her turn off her bike and they hear her stop and, probably, listen around the area.

*With Natalia*

She walks up the step and she could smell the nervousness from inside the household. She stands in front of the door before walking into the house. She looks at the living room and sees the Cullen's staring at her.

She sees Jasper with a guilty look, Edward with a sad look, Rosalie and Emmett had their face blank, and Esme, Carlisle, and Alice had sad smiles. Natalia tilts her head and she knows something was wrong, "What's wrong?" She asks, but receives no answer.

She looks around the house, trying to spot anything out of the ordinary. She then closes her eyes and inhales a deep breath through her nose and she can feel the atmosphere tense. She smells the flowers Esme puts up for the homey feeling but it covers something. Natalia's legs move as she inhaled again and this time it smells metallic. Like metal.

Blood...

Her eyes snap open and her eyes go gold as she stares directly at Edward, "Why is there a scent of blood?" She glares at all of them before asking again, "Why is there blood? Human blood? I won't ask again," She growls out, making Jasper look more guilty and she finally caught on, "You-" She angrily pointed at Jasper, "-tried to suck my sister dry?!" Before any of the Cullen's could do anything, she had Jasper against the wall with her hand on his neck.

Alice was the one to rip Natalia away from her mate and hissed at her, "Don't touch him!" For once, the majority of the group were surprised at the tone Alice was using, especially with someone that could kill them with a flick of her fangs.

Her werewolf venom..

Natalia lowly growls then her eyes go back to being brown, "If any one of you try to attack my sister-" Her eyes zero in on Jasper and Edward, "-I'll kill you all," She threatens, but also promises, before stomping out of the house.

Alice has some fireeee in her when it comes to her mate! Did you see the protective Natalia?! I liveee for thatttt!!

God... they took the threat to heart though🥺

We all know what happens next though. Hopefully, Natalia doesn't hunt them down for making Bella depressed!🤫
