Imogen's P.O.V
I'm so excited. Today is the day we find out the gender. All the boys and Pia are coming over when we get back from the hospital.
I got dressed (outfit above) and put my hair in a messy bun.
We exited the apartment building. Shawn sat in the drivers seat and I sat in the passenger seat, next to him. His parents and Aaliyah sat in the back.
It was a good 30 minute drive and I couldn't help but feel nervous. I let out a loud sigh and rested my head of the head rest of my seat. I rubbed my now extremely large tummy.
"You alright" Shawn glanced at me then looked back at the road. He rested his spare hand on my knee.
"Yeah, just a bit nervous" I sighed.
"Why??" He asked.
"I don't know" I laughed and put my head back on the head rest.
"I want it to be a girl" Aaliyah broke the silence.
"Me too" I laughed and she giggled.
"I can't believe I'm going to be an auntie!!" She sounded really excited.
"I can't believe I'm going to be a grandmother" Shawn's mom laughed.
"I can't believe I'm going to be a mom" I joined in.
"I can't believe I'm going to be a grandad" his dad joined in also.
Then it was Shawn's turn. "I can't believe I'm going to be a dad" he didn't look up from the road but he smiled. I looked over at him and smiled at him. He could obviously feel my eyes on his because he smirked.
We parked in the hospital and Aaliyah ran out the car and opened the door for me, linking arms with me. Shawn came round and put his arm round my waist.
We asked the lady at reception where to go and she led us to a little waiting room.
"Mrs. Mendes??" I looked up at Shawn who was smirking then we all got up and followed the nurse into the room. It wasn't that big but it wasn't small either. I started to feel sick.
"If you would lie down for me please" the nurse smiled and pointed to the bed.
I walked over and laid down. "This might be cold" she warned as she started putting the gel on my stomach. I flinched as it touched my stomach.
"Are you alright??" She asked.
"Yeah it's just cold" I laughed and she carried on.
Everyone looked at the screen and she turned to me.
"Would you like to know the gender??" She looked to Shawn.
"Yes please" I interrupted him as he was about to speak.
"Okay, well" she looked back at the screen "congratulations you're having a little..... Girl"
I smiled and Aaliyah started jumping up and down. Shawn came and gave me a kiss then his parents hugged me. The nurse wiped the gel off and I pulled my top down. I struggled to get up off the bed.
"Would you like pictures of the scan??" She asked.
"Yes please" we said.
I gave one to Shawn's family and we kept one.
We got back in the car and drove home. The only person that talked was Aaliyah. She was saying how excited she was and we all just laughed at her.
(In this story I've added three years to each of their ages so Shawn is 19 and Aaliyah is 14)
Everyone was in our living room when we got back as Pia has a spare key to the apartment. She ran over and hugged me.
"Sooooo......" She asked and everyone looked at me and Shawn.
"ITS A GIRL" we laugh shouted at the same time. Everyone cheered.
We had a really relaxed day. Shawn's family decided to go back to their hotel and let us catch up with the boys. We were all sat talking about who's going to be her favourite uncle out of the boys when Shawn's phone rung. When he saw who it was he sighed and excited the living room, walking onto the balcony and shutting the door so we couldn't hear him.
Everyone looked at me and I gave them all a confused look.
We carried on talking until he came back in. Everyone went silent and watched him as he walked over to where I was sat.
"Immy" he held my hands and looked down at them.
"Yes??....." I looked at his face but he was still looking down, everyone was watching.
"I've been booked to go on tour" he said, sadly.
"That's great!! I thought you said I could go with you, why are you so sad??" Then he looked up at me.
"They said you couldn't come with me" tears were filling his eyes.
My mouth opened slightly and tears started to prick my eyes.
"Why??" I mumbled.
"They're not happy about the baby, they think it's bad for my career and my fans" I looked down and he lifted my chin up.
The boys were still sat watching us.
"Well, when are you going??"
"They said it's in 4 months" he closed his eyes and I wiped away his tears.
"But you will only be able to see the baby for 1 month, I can't do it on my own" I started crying.
"We'll help you" Pia said, standing up and walking over to us, hugging me.
"It's not the same, I need you Shawn"
We hugged for at least 30 minutes as the whole room was silent.
"I'll try my hardest to get out of it baby!!" Shawn whispered in my ear as he put my hair behind my ear.
"You don't have to do that for me, I'll manage. The boys can all stay round here with Pia until you come home" I smiled at him and pecked his lips.
"How am I so lucky??" He smiled, tear stains still on his cheeks.
"What do you mean??" I smiled back.
"I'm marrying the nicest, funniest, kindest girl I've ever met" I kissed him again and one of the boys cleared their throat. We looked up.
"Marrying??" Nash asked. Jumping up and down until Daisy started jumping up with him.
"Did we not tell you??" Shawn laughed as I put my hand out to show the ring.
"How long will you be on tour for??" Cam asked.
"2 weeks and I told them that this time they are NOT pushing it up, why??" Shawn said/asked.
"Because we want to know how long we'll have to stay here and look after your child" they all laughed.
"2 weeks isn't that bad" I smiled.
"How are you so positive" Matt asked.
"Last time it was two months Matt... TWO MONTHS. 2 weeks will feel like nothing" I laughed and Shawn put his arm around me.
We all fell asleep on the floor and on the couches.
