Chapter Twenty Two

3 months, thats how many months its been since we've quit talking. I've spent every waking moment with the one I love and that would change soon as I promised my mother to spend summer with her and Ivan. Its May now. I'm happy now. 

"Are you sure you don't wanna come?" Draco asked when we got off the train. "I promised." I said. "I know, but i'll miss you." Draco hugged me. I saw the trio look. "Write me back if I write you please." I asked and gave Draco one last kiss as i walked over to my mother. I heard Narcissa say "It will be a quiet summer without Rebekah." As she hugged her son. I waved at Draco and he ran over to me for one final kiss. "I love you Bekah." Draco said an watch me walk away. "I'm excited to see you for summer, you seem to spend most holidays with the Malfoy's." My mother said as Ivan and I tumbled into the car. "Yeah, I'm excited as well." I said. Once we arrived home I wrote Draco. "Hello my love, Just wanted to let you know that I made it home safe and I love you. Also write me back! xoxo Bekah"  I handed the letter to my owl and figured i would hear back from Draco in the morning. 

"I'm glad your safe, and I'm writing back don't worry. Please don't spend your summer obsessing over me, spend time with your family. My mother says hello. Love you Bekah. -DM"  I smiled reading the letter, I would writ him one back later and tell Narcissa hi as well. It was weird sleeping alone last night. I was so used to Draco being with me, I had a hard time sleeping. "Morning dear." My mother said smiling. "Morning." i smiled back. Ivan and I went swimming today at the beach. I knew Draco's birthday was coming up and I wanted to see him. "Will you be home on your birthday? I think I want to stop by and give you your gift. Tell your mother I said hello as well. And Don't flatter yourself Malfoy, I'm not obsessing over you. xoxo bekah"  I sent the letter to Draco before i fell asleep. The next day I did get a letter back, Draco telling me he would be at the manor and would love if i stopped by. I was thrilled. I had 2 days until I got to see him. My other said it was fine, one day only. I was to return before dark. 

I woke up the day of Draco's birthday and went over. Narcissa answered the door greeting me with a hug. "Hello Rebekah!" she hugged me. Draco came down the stairs and hugged me tightly. "I missed you!" Draco whispered in my ear. "It's been a week." I laughed. "But i missed you too." I added. We spent the day celebrating his 17th birthday. "How's your week been?" Draco asked. "Good I guess." i said as we got in the car. Draco was driving me home since it started getting dark. "My mum is gonna kill me." I said. "Its fine." Draco reassured me as we drove off. We arrived at my house a little after 10pm. I kissed Draco goodbye and he didn't leave until I was inside. "Your late." My mother chimed. "I know, I'm sorry." I said walking into my room.

Over the next two months, June and July, I never got any letters back from Draco. I sent so many and didn't get any back. As aguest rolled around I made a trip to Malfoy Manor. Draco opened the door and pulled me inside. "What are you doing here?" He asked. He looked angry. "I came to see if your hands were broke. YOu couldn't write me back or call?" I said crossing my arms. "I'm sorry Bekah." Draco said "I had things going on-" Draco wa svut off by a knock on the door. He grabbed my wrist. "Go to my room right now and wait for me okay." Draco rushe dme upstairs and I sat on his bed for hours. I decided to go down stairs and see what he was doing. I saw him at a table full of death eaters. I gasped and hid behind a wall. Tears rolled down my face. "They were right, the trio was right." I thought. I accidently let out a noise and the next thing i know i had been grabbed and brought to the dining room. "Shit." Draco said looking up. I was shaking and I could tell Draco knew I had been crying. Narcissa face looked terrified. "Excuse me." Draco said looking a his father. He grabbed my arm and lead me away. "Why didn't you tell me." I asked. "I thought you'd hate me." Draco said. "The trio was right, your a death eater." I said backing away. "So you do hate me, you think i wanted this?" Draco said. "You need to leave." Draco said. "I don't hate you! I'm not leaving." I said crossing my arms. "It isn't safe here...your not safe with me Bekah." Draco shouted. "Get out." He added. "I'm not leaving until you explain why you would join them." I said. "Rebekah, get out." Draco said. "No." I said basically begging Draco to talk to me. "Fine then have it your way," Draco paused taking a breath. "I'm breaking up with you." I heard his voice crack, he was on the verge on tears. I was already crying. "What?" I said. "I said i'm breaking up with you, get out and never come back." Draco said. I could see in Draco's eyes it killed him to see me cry. I walked out and Narcissa looked sad. I didn't go home. I went to field Draco took me to on Thanksgiving and cried. "Why would he do that? Why would he break up with because I wouldn't leave?" I said aloud to myself.
