Announcer: Contestant Mathew from Universe 7 loses by ring out! The winner of the 35th annual Grand World Martial Arts Tournament is Jiren the Gray from universe 11!
After the announcer had finished, I got up from the ring and entered the stadium. I ran as fast as I could from onlookers. I was outight humiliated by Jiren as he approached me.
Jiren: Mathew! You are pathetic! How dare you taint the Grand World Martial Arts Tournament with your presence! You are no warrior and you can't even train your Pokemon correctly! I have the right mind to torture you in front of your friends and girlfriend just to show them how pathetic you really are.
I backed away and fled from the stadium but not before collecting and capsulizing my runner-up prize money silver trophy and runner-up championship belt.
Serena noticed my pained expression and ran after me.
Serena: Mathew! Wait!
Everyone else stood distraught that I lost to Jiren. They soon followed Serena and I back to Capsule Corp.
Later at Capsule Corp.
I ran into mine and Serena's room as Serena knocked on our door.
Serena: Mathew? Can I come in, sweetie?
I sniffle and answered as I decapsulized my money trophy and belt.
Me: Y-Yes. Y-You c-can c-come i-in, S-Serena.
Serena entered our room and locked the door behind her.
She walked towards me and hugged me.
Serena: Congratulations on winning runner-up in the Grand World Martial Arts Tournament, Mathew! I'm so proud of you, sweetie.
Me: Thank you, Serena.
She kissed my forehead as she nuzzled me with so much love and care.
Serena noticed the sadness in my eyes.
Serena: Mathew, if something's wrong, then don't ever feel afraid to talk to me. I'll listen anytime you want. I know how you feel. We've all been there. Do you remember my first showcase and how I lost?
Me: Yeah I do. This is different from what you've experienced, however.
Serena: How so, sweetie? Tell me about it.
I sat down next to Serena on our bed, she held my hands in hers.
Me; Okay.
I began my story.
