Hailey and Jay both arrived at the district in separate cars, but their arrival time was so close together that anyone could assume that they came from the same place. As they entered the front entrance, they saw Sgt. Platt as she stood behind her desk, towering the rest of the officers roaming the district.
Sgt. Platt was doing her paperwork when she looked up to see Hailey and Jay entering. "Hey, you two," she happily greeted the two detectives coming in with a smirk accompanying it. Hailey gave Sgt. Platt had a small smile, clearly knowing that the news about them spread quickly, her cheeks started to get hot as she gave herself a quick trip down the memory lane of the events that happened yesterday and this morning.
As a way of hiding her blushing cheeks, Hailey made her way to the staircase with Jay following behind her. They both went up the stairs to the second floor and got themselves into their work modes. As they got to the second floor, they saw Sgt. Voight coming out of his office with a look that he has something to announce. Hailey and Jay swiftly made their way to their desks and sat down, waiting for Sgt. Voight's announcement.
Sgt. Voight stood in front of his team and said, "So Rojas and Atwater sealed the deal last night. They have a meet with William Jackson in an abandoned warehouse later. I also got a call from narcotics that Detective Rojas will also be there." Immediately after Hailey heard the announcement, her gut feeling about something bad came back. She looks around as she started to zone out to what Sgt. Voight was announcing, and her eyes landed on Vanessa, she was still focused on listening to the announcement.
After a while, Sgt. Voight finished giving out his orders for the team. Vanessa looked at Hailey and caught her staring. She gave her the brightest smile she could and Hailey gave her a small smile back. Vanessa stood up from her seat and went with Kevin to prepare to go back undercover. While, Hailey sat at her desk with the bad feeling that she felt a while ago. "Hey, you alright?" Jay asks as he sees a troubled Hailey in front of him. Hailey immediately looked at Jay. "Yeah, yeah I'm good," she says as she started doing her paperwork, pushing the bad feeling aside.
