Chapter 32: Question

CLARKE POV
It was a weird after New Year shenanigans. Mom and Marcus took a week off at work and we all went to Marcus' friend beach house as a family outing. We had the best time of our lives. Lexa and I got closer than ever, I mean, we had the chance to talk you know. Like really talk about ourselves, how our lives was before we met each other. Not only that, we us a family got closer too.

Now, We've been back at school for a week. Nothing grand has happened or anything. BUT I have been preparing something big. Maybe not that grand but yes, big. And I plan on revealing in after Class.

It's January 18th, I don't know why I like this date but I do. And I plan on making it the most important day of my life.

I walk out from soccer training and saw Lexa waiting for me at the car

Me: Hey princess!

Lexa smiles and runs towards me hugging.

Lexa: Hey, Clarkieeee. Where are you taking me today? Hmmm let me guess, movies?

Me: Stop guessing and just hop on will ya?

She fake stomps towards the car and I just laugh at how cute she is. I intertwine our hands together. I drove us away from school and she started poking me again.

Lexa: Babyy Clarkieeee, where we off to? I'm hungryy.

I just laugh at how Childish Lexa is.

Me: Calm down princess. We're there soon. And don't worry there's food.

At that her face lits up more. She really loves food.
We arrive at the destination and I try and put a blindfold on her.

Me: Do you trust me, princess?

Lexa: Of course I do silly. Now tell me, where are we?

Me: Patience my Lexiepoo. Come on, do you trust me?

Lexa: I do baby.

She smiles at me and I put on the blindfold. I hold her hand and lead her to my surprise. I remove her blindfold and see her smiling widely.

Lexa: Oh my god, Clarke. You didn't!! This is amazing, baby.

She jumps to me and kiss me passionately. I hold her waist and pull her close to me. She wraps her hands to my neck as we continue to make out. I carry her as I lay her down to the blankets and pillows. We continue to make out until we were in need of air. I look at those beautiful forest green eyes and I just can't get enough to look at.

Lexa: So what's this all about? Not that I love being surprised and taken out on a date. But anything special?

I got nervous now, like really. I open my mouth but nothing comes out.

Lexa: You okay baby?

I just nod at her. I clear my throat and take out the food I have prepared. I brought her favorite vegan burger and fries and mine cheeseburger and mozzarella sticks. And our favorite, chocolate milkshake and chocolate dipped strawberry.

Lexa: You know Clarke, you never fail to amaze me. I mean we've been dating for over a month and still you know how to make me feel butterflies in my stomach

Me: Well, princess. If you must know, as simple as looking at you when you sleep, I feel alive. You make me feel alive, really. I honestly don't know what to do without you.

Lexa: Aww, come here.

We pull each other for a hug.

Lexa: We make each other alive, babe. We make each other strong and we make each other better.

Me: Lexa, I can't promise you anything you know that right? I mean, I am not rich, I am not that smart, and well, I am not that amazing. Look at me, I'm abnormal, as what Cage describes me.

I quickly lost my confidence and look down. She pulls my chin up and give me a smile.

Lexa: Hey now, you Clarke Griffin are amazing, Not an abnormal. You're the most selfless person I've ever met. The most beautiful and greatest soccer player I know. And you cook the best food in the world, you make the best parmesan chicken and shrimp pesto! Tho you need to work on your humor, it's annoying.

I chuckle at her remark. It's amazing how she knows me too well to say things to make me feel better. Despite all my nonsense and lack there of, she sees me perfect. I don't want to lose this girl ever. But at the same time, she's perfect and I'm not

Me: Lexa, you don't know how much that warms my heart. I honestly don't know how I deserve you. You know how to make everything right. You always know how to make me smile after a bad day, how you make me relax before every game, how you help me with school and at home. You make me better, you made me believe that there will be a good future for me. You made me realize to not runaway with problems. You made me the best version of myself.

I pause to look at her tearing up. I wipe my tear and sit up properly.

Me: Lexa, you have been the best blessing, best gift, best friend I have ever had. And I know I don't deserve you, not in a million years. But I will always try my best to be the best version of myself and make myself better for you.

I look at her in tears.

Me: Lexa Woods, will you be my girlfriend?

She smiles at me widely.

Lexa: Yes! Yes! Yes!

We kiss passionately until we were in need of air. We rest our foreheads and smile.

Me: I love you, Lexa Woods.

I open my eyes and I see her open her eyes too. She smiles at me even wider, if that's possible. I watch her forest green eyes sparkle as I see my ocean blue eyes radiate through her eyes.

Lexa: I love you too, Clarke Griffin.

They finally said the L word and they're together!! Now, i'm gonna need real help writing sweet scenes together. That part isn't my forte. Drama and Problems, I can. Haha sorry
