Eva's POV
It's been 3 days since I left Las Vegas, yet my mind is still stuck on Kris! Every moment keeps on flashing through my mind with a simple word trigger. At this point, everything and every word is a trigger.
I drag myself into my office today to look over some paperwork for an upcoming conference. My brain is in complete disarray today. My usual morning routine is to sip my favorite cup of green tea as I meditate looking at the ocean across the street. The one thing I love about my job is that it is strategically located at the boat-adorned harbor situated amongst various shops, restaurants, and businesses.
I am brought back to reality when the message notification draws my eyes back to my computer screen. An email from The Imperator Hotel appeared at the top of my inbox. I instinctively open it and become agape at the sight of the content. It was a reservation confirmation in my name booked for seven days at The Imperator Hotel & Casino a year from the day I first met Kris at Club Zen. My next instinct is to search my inbox for anything else from Kris. A personal note, a second email... but nothing. Absolutely nothing but silence and void from him. I am disappointed and excited all at the same time. More than that, one thing is clear: I feel good about this. Everything feels right! Yet I can't get myself to reach out to him... Why though? After another hour of fussing around, the answer now fits my mind like a glove:
He is the right one for me! I cannot believe I am in lust with a man who isn't my destined mate!
