So What ~ Bokuto x Reader

Chapter 15 ~

You woke up from your nap later that day picking up your phone to check the time. You have slept longer that you should have. Already going to be late you gathered some of your things debating if you should even go to Bokuto's. You decided to go so you could get some answers.

Approaching the doorway Bokuto awaited there like a dog for you to come. He greeted you with a big hug and an even bigger smile.

"hey Bokuto I think we should-"

Before you could say anything else a whole party of people came out from behind chairs and desks

"SURPRISE" they all yelled

You were in shock

"Bokuto what is this?"

"Silly it's your birthday tomorrow and I wanted to make your birthday special!"

You couldn't help but to crack a smile at how thoughtful everything was, but this still doesn't explain anything. Deciding to enjoy the party you hung out with friends ate lots of food and played many fun games including musical chairs which you beat Bokuto at. Later you stepped out back to get some fresh air. 

dang it's freezing out here maybe I should go back inside. It is pretty peaceful out here though

You heard the door open. before you could even look you already knew it was the one and only Bokuto as he wrapped his arms around you picking you up giving you a kiss on the cheek. Bokuto noticed your distant look on your face.

"What's wrong sweetie?"

"I-I don't know I just don't get what's going on"

"What do you mean by that"

"I know you and Akaashi are lying to my face and I just don't get why!"

Your voices cracked slightly. You didn't want to be that upset about it, but every moment that passed you grew more upset. Bokuto face stayed emotionless as he stared at you.

"Hey! are you going to tell me why you keep lying to me. . .because I know dam well Akaashi doesn't have any siblings"

Bokuto stood there still, but now he looked nervous. It made your heart sink.

"(Y/n). . .it's not what you think at all I promise, and I'm sorry it came off in that way. Anyway what actually happend is. . . . Hmmm. . . Will just say I'm bad at giving gifts and I brought Akaashi with to help me and we were getting drinks when I wandered off into that girly looking store you caught me in. I thought since it looked girly I'd be able to find you something there but once Akaashi found me in there I found out I shouldn't buy you any of that. After you left Akaashi took me to somewhere else where I found this. . ."

Bokuto shuffle around reaching in his pocket pulling out a shiney emerald colored box with a pink ribbon on it.

"I've been so nervous to give this to you I didn't even know if I should, but I guess now it doesn't even matter.

Bokuto reached out his hand giving you the box. You gently reached for it grabbing it from his hand. You slowly opened it revealing a beautiful sparkly necklace. It had a gorgeous emerald colored heart that matched the color of the box. A single teared slipped from your eyes.

"I-I hope you like it"
Bokuto said as he whipped away your tear.

"B-bokuto it's so beautiful I love it I don't even know what to say"

"You really do?"

"Yes! I do. Will you put it on for me?"

"Of course"
Bokuto shifted over clasping the chain together behind your neck

"So you didn't want no bra's or underwear?"

You laughed
"No I don't need any of those right now"

"Oh okay good because I totally didn't buy any anyway ha ha ha. . . "

"Bokuto-?"

You and Bokuto now starred at another for a long moment before busting out in laughter.

"Bokuto you idiot"
You laughed as you jumped up into his arms

You and Bokuto weng back inside joining the party where you were greeted by everyone again. Akaashi gave you a smile and thumbs up as he pointed at your necklace. You gave him a thumbs up back.

The rest of the party went very smooth. Besides karaoke which was basically just Bokuto screaming in a microphone.

After the party was over you thanked everyone for coming and gathered your stuff to leave.

"(Y/n) please don't go!"

Bokuto hugged you tightly burying his face in your shoulder

"Aww Bokuto I don't want to but I need to! I got to get my beauty sleep anyway"

"Okay I guesssss that's okay but I'm going to miss you!"

"I know will see another soon of course"

"Okayyyy"

Bokuto gave you an ever bigger hig as his hair slightly deflated. You gave him a pat on the head then made your way home.

When you got home you plopped on your bed. You were very happy you were able to figure everything out about that whole situation with him and Akaashi. Thinking about the scene back at the mall you laughed to yourself as you turned off your lamp to sleep.

"Man Bokuto is such a goofball sometimes" you mumbled to yourself as you were off to sleep fast.

(A/N) I'm so sorry for not updating for a while I totally had an idea for this story but completely forgot it and forgot where I wrote it down. Then it was also a matter of finding the motivation to update. Anyway I am so grateful for everyone who has read this story it means a lot! And I will try to keep updating as soon as I can :)))
