His legs burned as he sprinted across the expanse of the dark alleyway, feet smacking loudly against the wet pavement as he advanced towards the villains in question. To his right, Izuku was following closely, dodging blue flame and sharp knives thrown his way. Shouto pushed himself faster, trying desperately to keep up with the villains fleeing the scene. Dabi and toga had terrorized the civilians downtown. The attack seemed senseless really, they stole nothing and the damage was far from as extreme as it normally was from a hit from the league members. He pressed two fingers firmly to the ear piece lodged in his left ear, activating it to report to backup. "Shouto and deku in pursuit!" he panted, nodding to Izuku when he heard Kirishima answer back with his affirmative. Good, backup was coming.

They reached the end of the alley, a giant brick wall blocking the villains from escaping further. Izuku spoke, voice firm and steady. If Shouto didn't know him as well as he did, he would think that Izuku was completely fearless in this situation, but the slight twitch of his fingers and the tightness in his shoulders gave him away.

"Surrender! You have nowhere else to run!"

Dabi laughed darkly, looking sideways to the crazy blonde beside him who was giggling insanely. "Aww.. How cute, Toga. Isn't he such an adorable little hero?"

Toga nodded in agreement, hair bouncing as she did. Her smile stretched impossibly wider, practically splitting her pale face in half. "He suuuuure is, Dabs! I could practically eat him up!" she shrieked, hopping up and down in excitement. Both sets of eyes were trained on Izuku, scanning him up and down hungirly. Shouto grunted in annoyance, moving to step a bit closer to Izuku.

"How about it sweet cheeks, up for a bit of fun?" dabi smirked, gaze still sharp and unwavering on Izuku's small, yet surprisingly muscular, frame. Izuku furrowed his eyebrows in confusion, glancing sideways to shouto in question. He shook his head, snapping his emerald eyes back to the menacing turquoise ones ahead of him. He momentarily thought of how the color was so similar to one of shouto's own, but he quickly pushed that idea from his mind and focused back on the situation at hand. "N-no.. Just give up now, backup is already almost here. It's pointless to try to get away." Izuku's voice cracked, his emotions slipping through and showing just how nervous he actually is. At the sound, shouto wanted nothing more than to sweep izuku into his arms, keep him safe from these terrors ahead of them... from the entire world, really. Alas, shouto knew izuku well and he knew he was perfectly capable of handling this on his own. Well, he was.

"Backup is almost here, eh? Well then.. Guess I better hurry the fun along. Kurogiri, grab the cutie for me, please."

Before either of the young heroes could react, a cloud of purple smoke enveloped Izuku, covering his entire body with the cloudy thickness. Izuku shrieked in surprise, green lightning briefly flickering through the fog. As the fog completely covered him, Toga threw a sharp knife his way, laughing as Izuku shrieked in pain. Shouto gasped in shock, reaching out to grab Izuku but he wasn't fast enough. He readied his quirk, His eyes scanning the area, waiting for where Izuku could possibly pop up again.. "Hopefully they haven't taken him away from this location.." Shouto thought.

A few seconds ticked by, before the cloud reappeared right into dabi's waiting arms. He held some sort of silver cuff bracelet in his hands now that he had removed from his pocket. Shouto didn't have much time to think about what it was though, because Izuku was falling into dabi, body cradled tightly in one arm. Izuku looked small next to the villain, his body fitting almost perfectly into the small space, knife lodged into his stomach. Izuku's eyes widened when he took in his position, and attempted to activate his quirk. Only, Dabi snapped the bracelet around izuku's wrist tightly, effectively cutting off the flash of green running under izuku's skin. Izuku shrieked in surprise, wide teary eyes meeting shouto's panicked ones. His quirk was canceled. He had no quirk. He's temporarily quirkless.
