I walk over to the quest board, scanning for any easy kill requests.

Luna: "you know, we have a completely different board for assassin's right?..."

I turn around with wide eyes

"Wha- really?!"

She sighs and shakes her head with a small smile.

"You dummy, don't you ever pay attention. It's right over there, these quests are for regular parties of adventurers."

"Oh..."

I am seriously the most stupid assassin to ever live.

Luna: "honestly Camila, sometimes I wonder if you think with your chest instead of your head. Speaking of parties, why haven't you teamed up with anyone yet? There are lots of people who would love to have someone like you in their party."

"Aww Luna don't be like that, I'm not that stupid. Besides, I'm an assassin who likes to work in the night, I get a triple attack bonus at night. Other people would just be a liability, and I've never really been a fan of groups..."

Luna: "alrighty then, I have faith you know what your doing. But just so you know, there's really only so far you can get going solo. Soon enough people are gonna be asking about joining up with you, you're already pretty popular."

"Oh really"

Luna: "I'm just saying, people already refer to you as 'the newbie who lived' and 'hero of the newbies'. The new adventurers really look up to you, you're a good woman, sometimes you gotta let your walls down."

"Maybe you're right, but for now, I'm staying solo. It's always been just me fending for myself growing up, I never experienced friends or love. So it's gonna be tough for me to let people in, people who I could loose."

Luna: "you already let me in, and I don't intend on leaving you anytime soon. So maybe make some friends, anyways, are we still on for me staying at your place tonight?"

I can see the large blush on her face, a smile tugging at her lips.

"Of course, I'll pick you up after my quest, if I find a good one. Now skedaddle back to work, you don't get paid to talk to only me."

She nods and turns around and I slap her butt gently as she yelps and scurries off back to her desk, her blush ten times darker than before. I chuckle and shake my head, walking over to the assassin board, and browsing through them. I eventually see one that is paying 400,000 Eris to gain knowledge of the whereabouts of a fugitive in town. I grab the sheet and walk over to Luna, and slap the sheet down on her desk.

She sighs and looks over the quest, and then looks up at me.

Luna: "this one has been really hard for past assassin's, you sure you want it?"

"I'll be ok, and besides, stalking from the shadows at night is kinda my specialty. So how about a bet?~"

She smirks, and grabs the stamp.

Luna: "alright, what's the bet?"

"I bet I can find this guy in 2 hours or less, if I win, you double the reward. If I loose, you personally get the reward.~"

I see her chew on her pencil in thought, it's honestly adorable.

Luna: "throw in a dinner date and you have a deal!"

"Alright, fair enough."

We shake hands and then she stamps the quest, and then takes out a form of a timer.

Luna: "ok, 2 hours starting.... Now!"

I see her start the timer and dash out the guild, I picked up a new skill and a racial skill that will definitely help me out.

[Detect movement/life] user can detect movement and life in a 1 mile radius. The movement will look like blue sound waves, and the living creature/person will have a golden outline, and can tag that specific thing.

[Night vision] as the user is a creature of the night, they have the ability to see like daylight in pitch black areas

I cast detect movement/life, and see small sound waves with the outline of rats a couple blocks away, and a outline of a person at the barrier of how far I can cast this. That's my best bet so far, so I quickly tag the outline of a person and run through the back alleys.

Camila: "Luna!"

Luna: "sorry, sorry.."

I eventually find the guy I'm looking for, almost all the way on the other side of town, and let me tell you, this town is huge. I take down note of where this guy is staying, and quickly shadow step my way back to the guild, getting lost a couple times.

By the time I make it back to the guild, I see Luna has a smirk and then stops the timer. I tiredly walk over to the table she's standing next to, and see I'm late by 15 minutes. She smiles triumphantly, and I just yawn and collapse on to her, making her catch me and sit back into a seat with me on her lap.

Luna: "woah! You alright Camila? Did you complete the job?"

I lazily put the address of the guy on the table and nuzzle into her neck, my thirst flaring up.

Luna: "Gah! Camila your nose is ice cold!"

I lick her neck a little and yawn

"Can I? Just enough to regain a bit of my strength... I used up all my stamina and mana from shadow stepping all the way back here, and I had to do a almost 2 hour run to find him..."

Luna: "heh, of course, take as much as you need."

"Thanks darling."

I gently bite down on her neck, and feel her body tense and then relax as I start drinking her blood. After about 30 seconds I pull away and lick my lips, feeling much more awake.

"So, you ready to go? It's about 30 minutes from here, but we can make it in 10 since my speed and strength boost."

She nods and we get up and walk out of the guild, I crouch down so she can get on my back. Once she's secure, I smirk

"Hold on tight!"

Luna: "wha-ahh! hahaha, this is amazing!"

I use my speed boost to run home, the buildings like a blur as she laughs and has a huge smile as she seems to be enjoying the rush as much as I am. As we arrive at my place, I let her off and she holds onto me to get steady and then we go in as I lock up behind us. When we get into the bedroom, I put my daggers on the bedside table, keeping the throwing knives on me at all times. I then throw back the plush expensive duvet and slide into bed, Luna following suit as we cuddle and pull the duvet back over us, my head on the velvety pillows, hers on my chest.

"You warm enough? I know I'm freezing cold, and probably the worst person to cuddle with..."

Luna: "I'm warm enough, and don't worry, there's no one else I'd rather cuddle with. The no heart beat thing is kinda weird, but it's surprisingly comforting."

"Alright, I love you Luna, sweet dreams.~"

Luna: "good night Camila, I love you too. You'll definitely be in my dreams tonight."

"Heh, same here..."

And with that, I drift off into a blissful sleep.
