I sit with Aqua, Darkness, and Megumin, all waiting for our breakfast at the guild. I see Luna come over with a bright smile and our food, she passes out our food.

"Hey Luna, you seem happy today, and more than usual."

Luna: "hm? Oh! Yeah, I've met someone special..."

Aqua: "he must be a lucky guy to have someone like you, great looks and perfect personality."

Luna: "actually.. It's a she.. She's a new adventurer like you guys, arrived about 2 days ago."

Kazuma: "what class is she? And why haven't we seen her?"

Luna: "she's an assassin, and it's probably because she comes in at dusk and works at night. She's already level 5, and is kinda famous here."

Aqua: "that's perfect! We've been needing some more help, and an assassin would make a great addition!"

Luna: "well you see, she's not really a party pers-"

Aqua: "ok Kazuma, let's wait until she gets here and then ask her! There's no way she could resist a request from a goddess!"

Luna just sighs and shakes her head walking off to help more people, an assassin huh, it could be helpful.

Aqua: "where is she?! It's been so long!"

Camila POV

I trudge my way into the guild, Luna giving me a discreet wave to go to her. I oblige and quickly make my way over and she looks nervous.

Luna: "Camila, there's a group of new adventurers here that have been waiting all day to try and ask you to join them. I tried to tell them you're not a party person, but the dumb bluenette who claims she's a goddess didn't want to hear it."

"I see, I came here to make some money since our bet last night didn't work out in my favor. So what's the group look like?"

Luna points to a group of 4 people, all ranging in different classes.

Luna: "that's them, right next to the assassin board. It's probably gonna be hard to ignore them, so just try to let them down easy..."

"Yeah alright, I'll do my best, but if they persist, I'll have to use force."

Luna: "understood, we have a group of adventurers on standby in case that happens. The blue one is an Arch Priestess, meaning she'll be able to do some real damage to you. So the group on standby know to protect you enough, to let you slip past and do your quest."

"Luna you're the best, thank you so much. I'll be back with a quest!"

She nods and kisses my cheek, I smile and give her a quick kiss back and then go over to the assassin board trying to completely ignore the group at the table nearby.

Man: "excuse me, are you the one Luna was talking about?"

"No, I'm not the one you seek. Please leave me to my business."

Blue: "she's lying, and I'm sensing something unholy from her..."

I quickly snatch a quest that is to kill a thief who has been luring women with him 'charms' and then robbing them, with the reward of 800,000 Eris. I quickly turn towards where Luna is at the counter, and start walking there.

Guy: "hey! Why would you lie to me?! We just wanna ask you to join our party!"

"I said you have the wrong girl, now leave me alone!" I run over to Luna and place the quest down and she does a quick glance and frowns but stamps the sheet and I quickly walk out of the guild when I hear the blue haired girl again

Blue: "holy water blast!"

I quickly turn to see a giant of a man with a shield block the attack and I see a few knights and some archers all get ready to attack. I notice the 2 guys from before are fighters.

Guy 1: "get out of here! We'll hold them off!"

"But-"

Guy 2: "think of this as paying you back for all you've done to help us! Now hurry!"

"Right, thanks you guys!"

I quickly use shadow step to quickly warp to a far away alley, and see a woman blushing while looking at a guy who most would consider hot. He then goes to grab her but I throw a knife at his hand, and I see it go through his hand as he yells out in pain. I shadow step behind him with a dagger out, and then I stab it into his neck and then pull it out. As his veins turn black and he then starts spasaming and coughing, and he drops to the ground with the black tar type liquid bubbling out of his mouth and splattering on the ground. I then see his body do one final violent jerk and then lay still, all his veins are black. I quickly grab my knife and all the loot and Eris off his body and see the woman is shaking in fear, she looks at me and bows deeply.

Woman: "thank you so much for saving me! You saved my life!"

"It's all part of the job ma'am. Now if anyone asks, I was never here."

She stands up straight and nods quickly before running off clutching her purse. I quickly make my way back to the guild, and when I enter I see the party that attacked me in chains with town guards talking to the adventurers that stopped them. I go over to Luna's desk and set all the stolen items and Eris on her desk. She smiles at me, and looks at all the Eris and items.

"I want everyone who has robbed from that guy to have their Eris and items returned."

Luna: "you know, I've never met such a selfless assassin. Instead of keeping all this Eris and items, you decide to return it to those who had it taken from them. You're starting become a town hero~"

"Don't even start with that, I'm no hero, I'm an assassin with morals. I'm satisfied enough to see scum like him dead, I don't need all this Eris and items. They weren't his property, they were stolen, so if it wasn't his, I'm not taking it."

Luna: "deny it all you want babe, but you can't escape the fact you're becoming a hero to the people of Axel. I bet by noon tomorrow, word of what you did tonight is gonna be in all the papers, and the talk of the town."

I sigh and rub my face to alleviate some tension.

"All I want is to live a comfortable life, where I can do my job, sleep next to the woman I love, and do what's morally right..."

Luna: "and all of that is true, but people look up to you now. They see you as a good person, someone who works from the shadows and gives back to the guild and town."

"Yeah, you're right, and I'll continue to do it. As long as I know what's right, and have you by my side, everything will be alright."

Luna hugs me, and I hug back. I then sit down at the bar and order some food, since it's been a long day.
