Chapter 6 - Position

Hongjoong P.O.V

[ First Day of Voting ]

It's the first meeting of house sports. I'm in a greenhouse with Yeosang, Wooyoung, and Jongho. We walked together to the cafeteria. That is our destination for the meeting. 

I sit in front of the teacher with Wooyoung beside me. The teacher likes my company and loves my work.

"Now we're gonna choose the position for the year." our teacher said loudly so all of us could hear it. "Come on, say the names that you think they can do work. We need President, Secretary, Treasurer, and 2 people for committee members. For the senior. And all the assistance is for junior." The teacher said again.

"I vote for Lee Felix!" a short boy said loudly. "I vote for Hirai Momo!" a blonde-haired girl shouts. "I vote for Park Lia!" a girl with brown hair said. "I vote for Kim Donghyuk!" a tall boy said. "I vote for Kim Hongjoong!" Wooyoung said while standing. I didn't expect that was coming. The teacher in front of us gives a thumbs-up to Wooyoung. 'They planned this' I think. "The nominees please go to the back of the cafeteria." I stand and walk to the back while the others say things like good luck.

After voting it's time to see our position. I got a Committee Member. I'm not surprised. They vote based on the popularity of someone. Well, I'm popular at doing work. They are popular for being handsome, beautiful, tall, and rich. All the things you can name it.

[ Second Day of Voting ]

English association. The association that no one wants to be in. Well, I volunteered to be here. I don't mind but well I'm here.

Seonghwa and I are in it. We sit in the front row. Then the other members get in while looking at us. We were early. Too early. Then the teachers start to get in too.

"How are you guys today?" Mr. Kim asks us. "Good!" all of us the associate's members shout. "Without further due, let the names come out." there are 10 people in the associate. "All of you will get some position but don't get any hard feelings, OK."  the teacher smiled. "Alright teacher." all of us say together.

"So Seonghwa who do you think can be the president?" another teacher said while looking at him. Seonghwa looked around pretending to think for a while but then his eyes landed on me. "Hongjoong! I think he can be the president." I look at him with a questioning look. His face said clearly 'I know you like it'. "Do the others agree with Seonghwa?" the teacher said while pointing at me. "Yes teacher." they all shout. All the members know me. I'm quite popular as you know. "Seonghwa you're the Secretary for Hongjoong. That means Hongjoong is the president." The teacher looked at me while looking at the members. "You can go to your club now, Hongjoong and Seonghwa." the main teacher said. "Thank you teacher!" we both ran to our main club. I say bye to him and he does the same too although we can meet up at the end of school.

[ After a while ]

Again I ran. In school, I always run a lot. I ran to the library. I get in there with a really bad breathing scale.

"Hongjoong please sit first you look awful," Yunho said while wiping my sweat with a tissue. "Guys this is our honourable and horrible president, Kim Hongjoong," Yeosang said sarcastically to the members of the library club making me roll my eyes.

We have to pick the board members. Our teacher has some issues that need to go back home. I'm the president that has been picked by our friends and teacher.

"We have been picking the board members for the senior," San said while giving me a bottle of water for me to drink. "And we needed you to sign this form. You know how it goes." Jongho said while giving me the form. I sign it and leave it for them to fill up the board members. Not that I didn't do any work but I was just really tired.
