-Emilia-

"So you love him?" Amara asked, sitting down at my vanity as she continued to get ready. I stared up at the white ceiling as I thought about it and I nodded my head.

"Yeah, I do." I responded, a warm feeling flooding inside of me as I thought about Vincent.

"I mean, I've never actually been in love before. I thought I loved my ex but I was just young and naive. Yeah, at one point I liked him but love? I never loved him...but with Vincent, it's different. I don't know how to explain it but it just is. Whenever I'm with him, I get a feeling that I've never felt with anybody else before." I added.

"I didn't fully realize it at first, but I fell in love with him that night he comforted me after the whole situation that happened with Carlos. After that night, I saw him from a completely different perspective. He made me feel like I wasn't worthless. He made me feel like I actually deserved to be cared for." I said softly.

"What whole situation with Carlos?" She asked and I let out a small laugh, realizing that she wasn't there for that part.

"It's a long story." I laughed, sitting up from my laid position in the bed. I tucked my hair behind my ear as I continued to watch her fix her hair.

"So did you tell him that you loved him?" She asked and I raised my eyebrows as I nodded my head with a sigh.

"Did he say it back?" She asked. I shook my head no and she looked at me in confusion as she turned around in her seat.

"He was falling asleep when I told him, so I don't think he heard me." I clarified and she nodded her head in understanding. I sat in silence for a while before a frown pulled over my face.

"Or what if he did hear me and now he's ghosting me because I scared him off. What if he realizes that he doesn't want to be with me and now he's out with some other gir-"

"Em, you're overthinking too much. If you keep making assumptions, you're only going to ruin it for yourself." She cut me off and I let out a groan as I threw my head back into the pillows.

"He's just so confusing, you know? I mean one minute we'll be spending time with each other and everything will be great and then the next, he's just gone. Whether it be days or weeks, he just leaves without even saying anything." I mumbled the last part.

"Maybe he's just been busy with work." She suggested and I fiddled with my fingers before letting out a sigh.

"I guess you're right.." I shrugged, running my hand through my hair. I stared off into the distance for a split second before I took in a deep breath and got up off the bed as I made my way over towards the bedroom door.

"Where are you going?" She asked.

"To find Vincent." I replied, throwing open my bedroom door. She followed right behind me as we stormed down the hall. My heart was beating fast inside of my chest with each step that we took up the stairs. I could feel her excitement radiating off of her as I placed my hand on his bedroom door, pushing it open. His bedroom was empty and ridden of any masculinity.

Frowning, I closed the door as I turned back to look at Amara. "Downstairs?" She asked and I gave a firm nod before we rushed down the steps.

"You check his office, I'll check Sally's." Amara told me and I nodded my head as we split off into separate directions of the house. I practically sped walked throughout the mansion before meeting with the office door that had gold plating with 'the Don' written on it.
