-Emilia-
I was frozen in place as I just stared at him, wincing as he placed a cotton ball to the cut on my head while he cleaned it. He frowned as he shook his head, looking extremely disappointed as he ripped open a band aid.
"He said he would bring you back unharmed." I heard him whisper, forcing me to remember who the person that had brought me back here was. I felt the tears in my eyes start to burn as he just continued to sit in front of me.
"Are you hurt anywhere else?" He asked, my head hesitantly shaking as I gulped. He nodded his head, smoothing down the band aid as she stood up from the bed, taking the medical kit with him as he left to the bathroom.
My eyes stayed trained on him as I immediately got up from the bed. There was no way that I was going to stay here with him in this apartment again.
Running out of the bedroom, flashbacks from the day that he first gave me away filled my mind. Only this time, I was running for the front door and not the bedroom.
I placed my hand on the knob, shaking my head as I seen that the knob had been switched so that it can only unlock from the outside. I banged my fist against the door, trying my best to hold in my cries.
"Help! Somebody help me!" I yelled, moving over to the curtains as I pulled them back. My heart only dropped as I seen that the windows had been boarded up. I shook my head, the tears that I had been holding in, finally streaming down my cheeks.
"No, no! Somebody let me out!" I begged, smacking my hands against the windows. I could hear Ryan calling my name from the bedroom which only made me cry harder. Then, I remembered the phone. Vincent said that every single call made was traced back to him.
I rushed over towards the position where the phone was, only to see that it wasn't there anymore. Tears burned my cheeks as I broke down into sobs, trying to find it everywhere, but it was no longer there.
"Emilia, calm down." Ryan's voice startled me as I backed away from him, sniffling as I tried to create distance between us.
"Stay away from me." I begged, backing up which only caused him to frown as he continued to step closer to me. I felt like a prey in his predatory state.
"Why did he bring me back here Ry? What deal did you make with him?" I cried, his eyes softening as he continued to move closer to me. Every step he took closer, only made me move even further back until I couldn't go anywhere. My back had connected with the kitchen counter.
"If you just calm down, we can talk about this." His voice was gentle, his eyes burning into mine, and I shook my head, looking down at his hands. They were clenching and unclenching. From the years I spent analyzing him, I could tell that he was slowly becoming more irritated.
My eyes fell upon the cutlery as I pulled out a knife, holding it up towards him. He immediately froze in his place as he stared at me and back down at the knife.
"Fucking hell Emilia, put the damn knife away!" He yelled, my hand shaking as I shook my head. I wasn't going to give up the only thing that was protecting me from him.
"Jesus, I'm not going to hurt you Em. I'm just trying to talk to you." He said, my eyes staying glued on his as he continued to walk cautiously in my direction. My chin quivered as I adjusted my grip on the knife.
