-Emilia-

I stared at the ceiling, my head pounding as a splitting headache started to form. I couldn't stop thinking about the man from yesterday, more specifically, our conversation that we had. He had left me with so many questions and very little answers.

"Vincent," I asked, earning a hum from him as he dove his head into the crook of my neck, placing kisses as he trailed them down to my collar bone. I bit down on my bottom lip nervously, fiddling with my fingers as I racked my many thoughts together.

"Who is Orlando Vasquez?" I asked, his body movements freezing as he stopped kissing my neck. I could feel the sudden tension in his body as he didn't move or speak. His silence was absolutely deafening and the clenching of his fist and jaw only seemed to make my heart beat escalate.

"N-nevermind, just forget that I asked." I said nervously, scooting out from under him as I tried to get off the bed and my heart rate spiked as I felt his hand latch onto my wrist.

I froze, closing my eyes as I tapped my fingers together to keep me calm while I tried to get the unwanted memories of Ryan out of my head. I hesitatingly turned around to look at Vincent who had a frown pulled over his face as if he had something troubling on his mind.

After long moments of silence, he spoke.

"On my my ninth birthday, three men broke into my childhood home where I watched my mother and my aunt get shot-"

"Vincent wait, you don't have to tell me this." I immediately cut him off, my eyes widening at the sudden intense topic.

"No I don't, but I want to so please, just let me say this Emilia." He stated and I nodded my head. He pulled my body closer to him as he rest my head on his chest, staring up at the ceiling.

"I was so young and much smaller than them that I didn't even have enough strength to leave a bruise. I tried to fight them off as they grabbed my mother and aunt but it was useless. No matter how hard I hit, no matter how hard I fought, I was the exact representation of what my father thinks of me. I was weak." He spoke, a certain sadness dwelling inside of me.

"One man pulled me away from them as he restrained me by holding my hands behind my back and grabbing my face as he forced me to watch my mother and aunt against my own will. Then, they forced them onto their knees right in front of me as they held them at gunpoint. My mother and my aunt begged for mercy but their cries for help were useless. There wasn't even an ounce of pity that was shown in Orlando's eyes as he stared at me before putting a bullet inside of my aunts head." His words elicited a gasp of shock out of me.

"He made sure to kill my mother last so that I could listen to her heartbreaking screams of terror as she watched my aunts body collapse right in front of my feet. He made sure that I was the last thing she saw right before her screams were silenced after he put a bullet through her head too. There was an unsettling silence to the room but the only thing that could be heard were my cries as I watched her body fall at my feet as well." He said, my blurry vision catching onto how he was messing with the ring around his finger.

I had notice that he started doing that whenever he was trying to keep himself calm or trying to prevent himself from going on a blind rage.

I didn't understand how he spoke about all these traumatic events with such a calm and collected composure whereas I was an emotional mess.
