-Emilia-

Grabbing onto Edna's hand and placing my other on her shoulder, she rested her free hand on my waist as we began to dance to the music she had been playing on the radio that was sitting on top of the island counter.

"Darling, you move like you have two left feet." She told me and my mouth fell open as I looked down at her short figure.

"I told you that I don't know how to dance Edna." I giggled and I raised my hand in the air as she spun under it. She turned outwards and our eyes locked before I pulled her back in and danced side to side.

"Don't worry darling, Edna will teach you everything you need to know." She referred to herself in the third person and I giggled as we swayed in sync. She laughed and pat my arms.

"Okay, okay that's enough messing around. Lunch is almost ready." She said and I released my arms from her before I hopped up onto my designated spot on the counter.

The hairs at the back of my neck stood up as if I could already sense his presence before he entered the kitchen. I slowly turned my head over towards the entrance to see his ocean blue eyes already looking in my direction.

A smirk grew onto his lips as he spotted me, walking further into the kitchen until he was directly in front of me.

"Emilia," he acknowledged me as he placed his hands on both sides of the counter, blocking off the space that I needed to get down.

"Vincent, will you be joining us for lunch? Emilia and I made homemade pizza." Edna smiled as she began to place the oven mittens on her hands.

"Ah, is my little Emilia becoming a chef?" He purred softly with a chuckle, his accent more prominent with his words as he stared into my eyes. I looked at him flatly and shrugged my shoulders as I turned my attention back towards Edna who was now opening the oven.

"Do you need any help Edna?" I asked politely, trying to get off of the counter to go assist her but Vincent was completely blocking my way.

"No, you've been of great help already." Edna offered me a smile that I returned before adjusting my way back into my spot where Vincent continued to stand in front of.

"Ms. Walters, set out an extra plate for Mr. Fontana please." I instructed the maid kindly and she gave me a smile and nodded her head before her face pulled over in nervousness as her eyes connected with Vincent's.

"I never said I was staying for lunch." He turned his head back towards me as he rested his hands on my thighs and I raised a brow before looking at my fingernails as if they were so amazing.

"Why are you giving me the silent treatment? You haven't said a single word to me cucciola." He asked, grabbing my chin gently as he forced me to look at the worried expression on his face. My eyes broke from his as I looked over at Ms. Walters who was struggling to grab the plate at the top shelf.

Pushing on Vincent's chest, I brushed past him after hopping off of the counter and made my way over to lend the maid a hand.

"Here you go." I smiled as I grabbed the plate and handed it to her. She nodded her head in appreciation before walking towards the table to set it down. Turning around, my eyes met with Vincent's chest as he stood directly behind me and lifted my chin up with his index finger while he looked down at me.
