The feeling of warm kisses trailing up from my arm and to my neck caused my eyes to flutter open. My eyes squinted as I adjusted to the warm glow of the bedroom from the lamp on the nightstand. I softly hummed as the kisses continued on the crook of my neck and I smiled, turning over to look at Vincent.
This morning we both had to leave for work so we didn't get to see much of each other. The rest of the day, I spent my time at the club. I hadn't realized how tiring stripping was until I got back out there and when I got home, the only thing I wanted to do was sleep.
"Did you just get home?" I mumbled sleepily, earning a hum from him in response as he placed a kiss on my cheek before meeting my lips. I moved my hand up to his sharp jaw as I caressed it, placing a kiss back on his. He circled his hand around as he rubbed my stomach before moving it up to my cheek as he pulled away.
"Have you eaten dinner yet?" He asked. I shook my head no in response and he placed a quick peck on my lips before scooting off of the bed, pulling me up with him. I groaned, wanting to lay down in the bed to rest my sore body and he chuckled, scooping me up bridal style as he continued to walk us towards the bedroom door.
"Where are we going?" I asked, resting my head on his shoulder as I circled my arms around his neck. He continued down the stairs and walked towards the kitchen. He flicked the light on and revealed a bunch of ingredients laid out on the island counter.
"We didn't get to properly finish our date the other day so I thought we could have a do over. If you don't want to, that's completely fine I just-" He started to ramble and I smiled as I placed a kiss on his lips to cut him off.
"What are we cooking?" I asked him and he smiled, setting me down as he walked over towards the hook on the wall and pulled off two aprons.
"Homemade pasta." He responded, pulling an apron over my head before walking around to tie it at the back. When he was finished, he began pulling on his apron as I washed my hands at the kitchen sink. He snuck his hands around to my stomach as he pulled me closer to him and I smiled, closing my eyes as I rested my head on his chest.
"We have the house all to ourselves tonight.." he whispered in my ear, placing kisses on my neck and I bit down on my bottom lip before turning my head to meet his ear.
"Dinner first." I whispered and he rolled his eyes, pulling back from me as he bumped me out of the way so that he could wash his hands. I slightly flicked the water on my fingers at him before giggling and he raised his brows, splashing me with water.
I let out a yelp as I ran away from him and he chuckled, shaking his head as finished up at the sink. I placed my hands on the counter as I looked at the ingredients in front of me.
"I've never made homemade pasta before." I said, my eyes grazing over all the material and he set down the rag he used to dry his hands off before grabbing the bag of flour.
"I'll teach you." He said, pouring a mound of the white and powdery substance on the counter as it leveled out a cloud of powder around us. I watched him form a hole in the middle of the mound as he circled around the center with his fingers until the marble counter was visible.
He grabbed me and pulled me in front of him so that he was trapping me in between him and the island. He placed his hand on mine and reached our conjoined hands over as he grabbed one of the four large eggs.
"My mama and I used to cook together all the time when I was little." He said lowly next to my ear, moving our hands as he tapped the egg against the surface before opening it to allow the yellow to fall inside of the hole.
