"And then you fold paper just like.... that!" I tell Jack.
"Look! I made a star!"
I taught him how to make those paper stars. I learned how to make them when I was a child, around his age.
My phone starts buzzing. I look at it and its Emily.
"I'll be right back, okay Jack?" He nods and I walk into the hallway.
"Hello?"
"You need to get out of there now" Emily said. She sounded like she was in the car.
"Why? We're having fun?"
"JJ's there." Shit.
"Well why is she here?"
Nothing.
"Hello?! Why is she here?"
She took a deep breath before talking. "She called earlier."
"She what?!"
"She said to choose between you and her."
"Okay... And who did you choose?"
"You, of course," how sweet. "But thats not the point."
"Dammit Emily, will you just tell me already?"
"Look, She said some crazy stuff. And some pretty... bad stuff." She paused. "She's outside the house. And it didn't sound good."
I hear the back door open. I'm about to run out, but then I remember my little brother is in the room, all the way down the hall.
"I think I hear her. Jack's in the other room." I take out my gun.
"You brought your gun with you?"
"Who do you think I am? Too many bad guys I have put away, just got kidnapped a couple weeks ago. Of course I did."
"Good. I'm almost there. I called Hotch. Just don't do anything."
"Are you crazy?!" I whisper, slowly walking towards Jacks Play room. "I'm not gonna just leave Jack, not alone with her."
"Wai-"
"I'll call you back Emily." I hang up and slowly walk towards Jack's room. I hear two voices. One of them shouldn't be there."
