Bokuto Kourarou practically lives at raves.

When he's not at a rave, he's at home making more kandi to give to or trade with his friends or the people he would meet. When he's not making kandi, he's asleep or at work, though raves often kept him up late into the night.

Akaashi is practically the opposite.

So you can imagine that when the loud man adorned in beaded bracelets and an ungodly amount of fishnet clothing asked for his number, he was a bit surprised. What could he possibly want from a cashier with such an indifferent expression, who overall wore, well, boring clothes? Akaashi would be lying if he said he knew the answer.

"My number?" Akaashi stared blankly at the silver-haired male, despite his mind racing with a million doubts and questions.

"Yeah!" The man pushed his phone towards him, gesturing for him to take it. It was already unlocked, with the "Ad2d Contact" page open.

Akaashi simply hummed and took the device from the mans hands, putting in his name and number.

Truthfully, he forgot about the exchange pretty quickly, until he got a text from an unknown number.

[Unknown]:
Hey hey hey !!!

Akaashi:
Wrong number.

[Unknown]:
Are you sure? Its bokuto!!

Akaashi:
I dont know a bokuto. Sorry.

[Unknown]:
What???
Is this akaashi?

Akaashi:
Yes

[Unknown]:
Im the guy from the store jsjfjdfn
I guess I didn't tell you my name haha

The realization hit Akaashi suddenly, and he felt a bit embarrassed.

Akaashi:
Oh, sorry
I guess you have the right number then

Akaashi set his phone down, not willing to start a conversation with Bokuto or anyone. Bokuto, however, perservered, asking the brunette questions about himself, such as his hobbies and interests, or even something as personal as his living situation (to which he simply stated he lived in a college dorm). They were all pretty average; normal questions you would ask in order to get to know someone.

One question did, admittedly, take Akaashi aback.

"Do you go to raves?"

This was one of the nights when Bokuto, bored and unable to go without talking to someone, would call Akaashi, and Akaashi would answer and just listen to his voice, occasionally humming in response or giving short input.

"Do I seem like someone that goes to raves?" Akaashi chuckled lightly.

There was a moment of silence before the louder man's voice rang out from the speaker again. "I guess not. But I've met lots of different people rave so I wasn't sure."

"Do you go to raves, Bokuto-san?"

Bokuto's face began to warm up, glowing a soft shade of crimson. He loved when Akaashi said his name, the way his soft, impassive tone would drawl his title, each vowel getting his heart more and more wound up.

"Y-yeah! All the time! I love 'em," Bokuto answered enthusiastically, glad to talk about his favorite hobby. "We should go to a rave sometime."

"Ah, I don't know," Akaashi responded in a rush. "Crowds aren't really my thing. Neither are loud, sweaty people crammed into one room."

"It's really fun, though," Bokuto insisted. "Yeah, it feels kinda weird at first 'cus you're rubbing against hot, shirtless people, but you get used to it! It's really fun."

"Hey, we should meet up tomorrow, Aghaashee! I wanna give you something!"

Bokuto now had the interest of his brunnette friend. "What is it?"

"I can't tell you! Let's go to the park closest to where you work around 4:00, okay?"

Akaashi snorted quietly. "The park? Are we little kids?"

"I know you'll be off by then so please come!"

Had he memorized Akaashi's work schedule? Thats extremely creepy. What if he's a serial killer or something? He almost seemed too clueless to get away with murder, though.

"Sure, but do you mind if my friend is there?"

"No, that's fine! See you then!"

-

"You agreed to meet him? Stupid."

The bleached-blond crossed his thin arms, sitting down nimbly in their small break room. His hair bounced and swayed fluidly everytime he moved, framing his round face in a more unkempt manner.

"Well, he asked me to, and I didn't want to say no..."

"I'll go with. It's kind of interesting."

Akaashi felt a wave of relief wash over him as his friend and coworker agreed to accompany him in meeting the strange man without him even having to ask.

So now, the two arrived at the park, where a man with silver hair and arms decorated in beaded jewelry sat on a swing. He noticed Akaashi almost immediately, quickly jumping up in excitement and rushing to see his friend.

"Aghaashee! You actually came!" he exclaimed, a bit out of breath from his unnecessary running.

"I told you I would," the brunette mumbled.

"This is the guy?" Kenma snorted.

"Oh, Kenma! I didn't know you were friends with Akaashi."

The blond rolled his eyes, and, at seeing his friends' curious expression, said, "He's friends with my boyfriend. They go to raves together or whatever. And he spends way too much time at our apartment, for some reason."

Akaashi nodded. "Oh, Kuroo-san? I can see them being close."

Bokuto chuckled before turning to Akaashi. Kenma, suddenly bored, sat on a nearby swing and pulled out his phone.

"Hold up your hand," Bokuto demanded, his voice still polite. Akaashi did as he was told, holding his right hand up between the two. Bokuto pressed his left hand to Akaashis palm, causing the younger boys confusion and curiosity to grow. "Let me show you something. Do what I do."

Bokuto now only held up two fingers, his hand still against the others. Akaashi did the same.

"Peace." The two then made an awkward heart with their hands. "Love." Bokuto put up all of his fingers, and Akaashi did the same. "Unity." Bokuto entwined his fingers with Akaashis, causing the brunette to blush a quiet shade of red. Akaashi did the same, so they were now gripping each others hands. "Respect. PLUR!"

The taller man smiled widely before using his free hand to slip one of the rainbow cuffs onto Akaashis wrist, using their joined hands as leeway. "I gave you my kandi, so now we're friends, okay?"

Akaashi nodded, admiring the brightly colored beads on his wrist.

"Now all you have to do is come to a rave with me!"

Akaashi giggled quitely, meeting Bokutos effervescent yellow eyes. Both boys' ears became soft shades of crimson as they pulled their hands away.

"I don't think so, Bokuto-san."
