Celia Vargas pov

As I open my eyes I saw darkness. I tried to move but I couldn't, I had chains wrapped around my body. Why am I tied up? What is happening?

"Hello" I cleared my throat. My throat was dry as hell. I have no idea, what is happening here?

"Welcome to the FUN SHOW" I heard a deep voice. Then I heard lots of claps, echoing through the room. Are there other people? Fun show? What is that? I hit my hand on a wall beside me, in hope that the chains will break but that didn't happened. Why does it look so easy in movies? Suddenly a bright light hit my eyes, I blinked to adjust my eyes. The spotlight focused on two people which make me shocked. No, this is not happening. There was a round of applause. One of the two people was my dad and another was Theodore, both of them looked unconscious and were in a terrible condition. My dad was tied up in chains, a guy with a mask on, was holding him from behind. Under him was spears all around, the pointed side was put upwards in his direction. Are they going to push him? No! Tears started to roll down my cheeks. Why? I stare at Theo, he was tied up too. An arrow was fixed in front of him, in a way which can easily go through his heart. He had purple flowers around him, are those wolfsbane? What is happening? Who are this people? Suddenly the spotlight focus on a guy with no face, he literally had no face. No eyes, no mouth nothing. Is this some kind of sick joke?

"So let's the game begins, I am your host Mr. Nemo faciem" said the Nemo guy. What type of name is that? The place echoed with claps. If there are other people, then why are they not helping me? This is clearly insane. Can't they see?

"Celia Vargas, choose your side" Said Nemo. Side? What side? Suddenly the crowd of people started cheering. I could only hear them.

"What is he talking about? Stop this, let us go. I don't even know you" I said with trembling voice.

"Choose side. Your father or your mate? We don't have all day, fast" said the guy. What? I'll not choose anyone.

"What will happen to the other one?" I asked.

"The other one will die but if you don't choose anyone, both of them will die" said the guy. Die? No, this is a joke. They cannot do that.

"CHOOSE! The clock is ticking" said the guy loudly. I cannot choose, I am not ready to loose any of them. I need both of them in my life. The ticking of the clock grew louder.

"The wolf or the human? You are too slow Celia, shame on you" he said. No, I am not weak. I cannot choose, I am both. I am wolf and a human and I love them both.

"I am a hybrid"

I quickly open my eyes. Wow, it was the stupidest nightmare ever. What was that? Choose side? I am neutral. I check the time, I have to go to school. I don't want to be late, I get up from the bed and went to the bathroom. I took a bath and change my clothes into something simple. I took my bag pack and run downstairs. My dad was nowhere. He left a sticky note on the freezer. He said he is going to come home late and left some pastas for me. Yum. After eating, I left for school.

As I reached school, i saw many people at the parking lot. Nothing new. I started walking towards the school hall when I saw Theodore. He had a devious smile on his face.

"What are you doing here? You shouldn't be here, didn't you read my thoughts or something?" I said. He smirked.

"I cannot read your mind from far away but I can feel your emotions. What happened?" He asked. I turn my gaze around the ground to see if I could see our English teacher but thankfully she was not there. I don't trust her anymore, she might tell my dad everything. It's not that I am scared of having a love interest or making a boyfriend, I am scared of him knowing the truth.

"English teacher? Does something happened?" Said Theo.

"Yeah, she might spy on me and tell everything to my dad, that's it" I said with a sigh. Theo chuckled. He came closer to me and put his lips on mine. I kissed him back with the same passion. I don't care what other people thinks. I moved away, I guess I have to go now. My first class was history with our weird teacher who knows a lot but no one believes him. Poor him. Then, I realised something, I stare at Theo.

"Hey, who was Laura Jones?" I asked. That women knows something. She clearly knew about the hunters.

"She was the first hybrid to survive the blue moon but she cheated, so she was killed" said Theo. Cheated? I was confused.

"So you can cheat?" I said.

"Don't be so happy, you cheat the system, you get killed by the guards of the curse, who check on hybrids and keep them in line" said Theo. Okay, so there are many things that he still didn't told me. Great, I hate it.

"Guards? Who are they? Angel of death or something" I asked, raising my left eyebrow. That sounds funny.

"No, they are Gargoyles, they keep an eye on you" said Theo with a smirk on his face. Gargoyles? Is he kidding? Gargoyles are just figures, used for decorating someone's house.

"Is there something else?" I asked.

"Yes, Zakira can only trigger your wolf due to which you don't have to kill your father but after that you have to face your wolf, fight it, don't cheat it" he said and left. Why would I cheat it? But what if I lost? Then, would I be dead? Maybe or maybe not.
