Celia Vargas pov
Cerberus growled with an intense look. It felt like he is getting successful in his plan but I will prove him wrong. I jumped with high force so that I was at his face level. I have to aim the middle head, it's main centre. I dashed forward to throw a punch at him but he threw up his forearm like an offensive lineman blocking my punch. He hold my hand tight and threw me, with full force I hit the ground. That hit was hard and I lost a lot of energy. He was going to blow his fire at me but I quickly slipped to the left, which threw him off enough for me to take my next step. He is very clever I have to do something unexpected. I started to running around him in a circle so that he could not hold me. I signalled Lisa, the hunter to use her arrow at Cerberus's third head, left eye. As he is focussing on me, he would not be able to catch the arrow. Lisa did her part and as I was expecting, the arrow fly through his eye and he scream in pain. I took it as an advantage and scratched his ear with my claws, black liquid started oozing out. His blood colour is black just like his soul. I hit him in the V under his ribs where the sternum ends. It paralyzed his diaphragm and let out a cry. But something was off,this can't be this easy. He is stronger than this. Why is he not doing anything? He must be planning something. Suddenly two large hand hold my legs and dragged me, then he hit me left and right on the brick wall near him. I could hear Theodore calling my name. I can't loose like this I have to fight back. I took a deep breath, it hurts my ribcage. My hands were sore badly, I was bruised. I remind myself that pain is just an illusory sensation that our mind could shut down if it needed to. I howled at the blue moon to regain my little energy.
I told Theodore through our mind link to shoot at Cerberus as many as times as they could. This would make him slow and easier for me to attack. They started to shoot one by one and Cerberus struggled to hold on to his balance. This is the right time, I can finish him off. I grabbed a long bar with a sharp end and dashed forward to confused looking Cerberus. But that was a mistake to think that Cerberus was confused or he was slowly breaking. He was just waiting for the right time, he was just taking fun. As soon as I was going to rip his heart with the sharp pointy bar, he hold my neck tightly, I started struggling to breathe. He slowly raised his hand and put the sharp end of the bar through my chest. I turn back to my human form, blood started gushing out of my chest. The crowd was silent except one voice, Theodore scream and ran towards me. He hold me in his arm. I knew I was dying. I saw Cerberus, turning back to his human form. He had a devious smile. Theodore had tears in his eyes, it felt like he was begging me to stay. I didn't even have that much energy to say him the last goodbye. My eyes were forcing to shut off. Finally Cerberus won, he will get what he always wanted. Suddenly I heard the loudest and scariest scream, it was Cerberus. Everyone looked shocked including me. What is happening? I look at Cerberus's arm which was getting darker, like it was burning or something. I stare at the sky and I saw the brightest star which was slowly rising above the horizon. What? So he didn't win.
"No it's not possible, I should get my reward. I cannot do this big mistake" said Cerberus, while his skin was melting off and he was turning into ashes.
"He couldn't kill you during the blue moon so he is going back to hell" I heard Jasper's voice. Cerberus scream echoed the through the area and soon he was nothing but ashes. Though he couldn't take my powers, he did kill me. I coughed out blood. I knew I am not going to survive. He hit me in the chest, I knew I was dying. Theodore's hand become tight around me. He was not ready to let me go. My eyes were slowly shutting off, I had no energy left.
"No! please don't leave me, you are the best thing that ever happened to me" said Theo. Tears roll down my cheeks.
"I...I'll...b..be..th..there...wi-" I couldn't finish the sentence and darkness surrounded me. But I wanted to say him that I'll be there with him forever. I guess I would never see him again, I would never see anyone else. Is this the end? Is this how it actually feels when you die? Just darkness around me. Maybe if I walk towards the light, I could see something. I slowly started walking. As soon as I reach the lighted area, I blinked my eyes to adjust. I saw a women's back, she was sitting on a chair and looking at the dark window. Her brunette hair was cascading down her spine. Who is she? I can't even see her face.
"Excuse me" I said. The women slowly turn around towards me and I was shocked to see her face.
"Mom!" I said. She had a faint smile on her rosy lips.
"Honey I was waiting for you" said mom. She was waiting for me? Waiting for me to die?
"Mom, I am sorry, it was all my fault. I was never a good daughter nor a good friend and not even a good girlfriend" I said. She looked happy and kinda sad. I hugged her, she hugged me back. Oh mom, I missed you so much.
"So am I dead for real?" I asked. I wanted to say goodbye to everyone at least.
"It's not your time, you will go back. Oh my brave girl, you did an amazing job" said mom. What she mean by not my time? So I am not dead?
"What you mean?" I asked.
"I make sure that you get a second chance, you are going back to earth, you can see your friends again" said mom. What? I was so happy hearing that. I am not dead.
"But wait, what about you? Are you not coming?" I asked. I want her to come too. She caress my face and gave me a happy look.
"Foolish girl, I was dead long time ago, but I couldn't leave because I was waiting for you" said mom. My eyes became watery. I hugged her once again. I don't want her to go.
"It will all feel like a dream, like you never saw me again" said mom. I want to remember this moment. But slowly my eyes felt heavy and I felt asleep.
I quickly open my eyes and saw heart rate monitor beeping and saw a sleeping Theodore beside my bed. I must be in hospital. How did I survived? I am supposed to be dead. But I was feeling much better. Wait a minute something feels odd. Something is wrong with my hair. I quickly went into the bathroom and stare at the mirror. I was shocked, all of my hair turned white, not blonde, it was literally white. What the fuck?
"Ahhhhhhhh" I screamed, so loud for the whole hospital to hear.
