The sun breaks in through tight eyelids, shining brightly into the young cowgirls eyes. She stirs awake and sits up confused by her surroundings before looking down.

"Oh hell," Katie mumbles before tapping on Ryan beside her. "Ryan get the fuck up! We fell asleep in the field!" She yelps trying time find her clothes in the back of the truck. Ryan hums before leaning up, looking around at the field.

"I didn't know we fell asleep. I was watching the stars one second and now the sun," Ryan mumbles confused while slipping back into his clothes.

"Last thing we need is my dad catching us out here. Hurry up," Katie sighs scurrying into her boots before jumping over the side of the truck bed. Ryan follows her actions, picking up the blankets and empty whisky bottles.

"Luckily it is still sunrise. We will tell the folks in the bunk house we were feeding the cows on the res," Katie says pulling into the driveway close to the barn. Ryan nods following along.

"Where the fuck have you two been all night?" Laura asks as the two stumble into the bunk house.

"Ah, we had some ride alongs for the agency. Ryan had to follow me around on the job," Katie says sitting down at the table earning a look from Laura. "What?" Katie laughs.

"Do you think I'm dumb?" Laura asks leaning in. "I know it wasn't agent stuff because your dad came looking for you. I said you were at the bar with friends," She says standing up. "Y'all I ain't dumb. I know about the hookin' up," Laura almost chuckles putting on her belt.

Katie swallows hard before looking at Ryan and then Laura.

"Don't tell anyone. Please?" Katie almost begs changing her flannel to look dressed for the day.

"Our secret. Yknow I wouldn't do that to you. You're my best friend," Laura smiles as Katie joins her side by the door.

"I'll be right out. I have got to change," Ryan says sending the two ladies out of the bunkhouse.

"Where were you this mornin?" Lloyd asks cocking a brow as the two approach.

"Oh, Ryan and I got up early to lay out hay for the cattle by the res so they won't go anywhere," Katie smiles standing on the fence.

"Should have woke me. I would have helped ya, Kat. You know that," Lloyd says leaning on the post.

"Ah, Ryan and I are still young. You're an old man. Only makes sense we go," She winks earning a push from Lloyd.

"So, what the fuck are we doing with these?" Katie asks looking at the buffalo being taken off the trailer.

"Oh little sister, you will see soon enough," Lee comments kicking the back of Katie's knee softly. She sort of stumbles, and grips tightly to the wooden board so she don't fall backwards or into the corral.

"How much did these damn things cost? A pretty penny?" She asks standing up again, punching Lee in the arm. He winces and rubs his bicep.

"You could say that. Definitely not worth it," Lee groans still rubbing his arm. "Damn it Kat, you always hit too damn hard," He chuckles watching as the twos father takes off towards the man golfing just down the pasture.

"Well, don't piss me off and I won't have to teach ya a lesson," Katie winks stepping off the fence. "What's he doing?" She asks nodding towards John in the lower pasture.

"Kat, it's dad, who fuckin' knows with him," Lee almost sighs handing his coffee cup over to Katie. "May wanna put your hair down out of that ponytail. You can see your new hickey," He states poking the small bruise. "Tell Ryan to not put 'em so high."
