Aurora's POV

I coughed as the powder finally disappeared, leaving an awkward tension between Malfoy and me. He looked at me oddly before turning his face into a scowl and roughly shoved me off his lap. I fell to the floor, looking up at Malfoy who was towering over my small body.

"We don't ever speak of this again," he snapped, "We were intoxicated and that's it." He glared down at me, causing me to avert my eyes. Suddenly the carpet of the train was more interesting than the blonde boy who glowered at me. "Get out," he spat.

Instantly, I sprinted out of the cabin, running past Pansy and Blaise who waited outside. I began to imagine them going back inside to talk to Malfoy. I pictured the three of them laughing at how pathetic I was. How much I wanted him. He must have known, probably enjoying watching me give into him so easily. I wish I would have never suggested we play that silly game.

I realized I needed a place to sit for the rest of the train ride. I began sticking my head into carts, groaning as I realized all the seats were full. Eventually, I came to a cart that was practically empty. I smiled widely as I saw the passengers.

"Hermione!" I smiled, opening the door happily. One of my dearest friends glanced up at me and her face turned into a grin.

"Rory! I missed you so much this summer," she said, "How was your family? I know you aren't the biggest fan of them."

I laughed and began to fill her in on all the drama that occurred over the summer holidays. I recalled the one time Callum accidentally apparated into a parking garage late one night in his underwear. She giggled at that, her cheeks turning into a rosy pink.

"Are you blushing?" I laughed, "Don't tell me you fancy my dimwitted cousin?" Her face grew redder; if that was even possible. "Hermione! He's awful!"

"He's a stupid git if you ask me," Ron grumbled to himself. Hermione didn't seem to hear him, but I did. He looked angry with the conversation we'd just had and it didn't help when Callum came rushing into the cart. "What do you want?" Ron snapped, rolling his eyes.

"I am your Head Boy, so I expect to be treated with some respect," Callum scoffed, "What are you doing here?" He glared at me, hatred lacing his voice. He always treated me terribly at school, even worse than at home.

"I was just coming to chat with my friends," I said, glaring right back at him. If he wanted to be an ass, I'll do the exact same.

"Can't you go back to your cart? With all your Slytherin friends," he spat, "Oh wait, you don't have any." I held back tears to not show him how much of an impact his words truly had on me. I'd already had a terrible day, but I would never let him win.
