Aurora's POV

I forced a smile onto my face when I seated myself next to Harry. Hermione was caught up in a book, Ron was shoving a pancake into his mouth, and Harry was smiling at me.

"Good morning," Harry said, watching me as I grabbed a spoonful of eggs and set them on my plate. I smiled at him and continued to put food on my plate. "How was your night? After I dropped you off?"

After the events of last night, I had completely forgotten that Harry had dropped me off. That was a really sweet gesture. If only my night had ended right after our hug goodnight. My night would have been so much better.

"My night was awful," I sighed, knowing I couldn't lie to them. Hermione had some creepy sixth sense where she could always catch me when I was lying.

"What happened?" Hermione asked, interjecting herself and Ron into the conversation. Ron stared at me with a worried look on his face.

I recounted all of the moments from last night with immense detail. After I explained what happened in the common room, I paused for their comments. I knew they were coming so I had to give them the space to share.

"A dirty slut? That's horrendous," Hermione gasped, "I'm so sorry Rory." She took my hand from across the table and gave it a light squeeze.

"You're not a whore, Rory," Ron sighed, "Don't let it get to you." I held back my laugh as I forced a smile in Ron's direction. I knew his intentions were good, but the execution was just poor. That was the strangest compliment I'd ever received. I'm not even sure it was a compliment.

"I can't believe he said those awful things about you," Harry said, anger radiating from him. "Malfoy is a pompous ass. He just wanted a stupid ego boost. I'm sorry he did that."

"It's okay," I whispered, "May I get on with my story?"

"Bloody hell, there's more?" Ron exclaimed.

I briefly told them about going to the astronomy tower, leaving out the part about me crying, and waited for their reactions again.

"So he just let you go?" Ron asked with shock etched onto his features.

"He said he didn't want to risk losing house points," I shrugged. I began to eat my eggs, ignoring their worried glances at each other. While I was happily included in the group, I knew the three were closer in ways I would never be. Sometimes, it felt like they had a secret language. I'd never know what some of their secrets were, but I was okay with that. I was perfectly fine with just the minimal inclusion I had.
