That same morning

"What do you mean exactly?" I asked Jesy. I haven't known Perrie for that long, how am I supposed to be the one person that changes her. She changed me. She gave me a whole new life. She can be a terrible person yes, but I don't think that's who she is and wants to be.

"Perrie has been different the past few days, more relaxed and calm, not that stern and cold. As soon as she told me about you, I knew she had a soft spot for you. I never thought she could have a soft spot for anyone but here we are. She gave also gifted you a lot of stuff, that's unusual for her. She changed because of you." Jesy explained. Has she really been that different? She doesn't hate me anymore and she's nicer than before, yeah that changed but also her general attitude?

"I didn't do anything. She was the one helping me and getting me this job. If she changed then I'm probably not a part of it." I tried to reason confused. Jesy squints her eyes while looking down at me.

"If you say so..." she smirked, "...now follow me lovely Lady." She showed me the whole 66th floor and introduced me to some people. I also saw that one girl again, the one who left Perries' apartment once.

"And this is Perries' personal secretary and assistant, Heather." Jesy told me while walking over to her.

"Heather, this is Jade, she'll be working  alongside Miss Edwards in her office and is responsible for important documents from now on." Heather looked up, her eyes stared me down.

"Jade, do we know each other?" She asked, getting up and walking over to me. I was kind of intimidated not going to lie.

"Yes we do actually, we met in front of Miss Edwards building, you know where she lives. At that time I was still... you know... homeless." I answered nervously. Her eyes lit up.

"Right you're that filthy homeless girl who was always begging for money, that's where I remember you from." She smirked. I'm not ashamed of my past or anything but this was just unnecessary. Jesy immediately spoke up.

"Damn it Heather, ever heard of being respectful." She said annoyed.

"Come on Jade let's move on, there are way nicer people around here." After walking around for another 20 minutes, I was convinced that everyone here was polite and nice, except Heather. When people asked me what I was working as before and after I told them my story, they were very impressed by how I made it this far. I actually didn't make it this far, I of course skipped the personal part with Perrie.

"And this right here Jade, is your new workplace." My new workplace was in Perrie's office, beside Perrie. Alright then. Jesy started to explain all the things I need to know and get in order. It honestly didn't sound like something I could struggle with. After she left, I started to wor. This was my first time working just anything. I never knew how it felt to have an actual job and a life to fulfill. It feels amazing.

6 hours later

I would say I'm done for the day. I had to walk a lot, from one file cabinet to another. I met this one girl on all of my walks, her name is Ellie and she's really kinda and talkative. I'll maybe get a coffee with her tomorrow. Big news, Perrie invited me over for later so I'm excited about that.

"Miss Edwards, I think I'm done for the day." I spoke up with a smile while starting to pack up some of my stuff.

"Alright then, I'll call my driver. Also, you can call me Perrie when no one is around." She informed with a wink. Did she just... wink at me? I suddenly felt something in my stomach, a tingling feeling...

"Will do." I answered with a grin. I packed up the rest of my stuff and left every important document Perrie had to sign on her desk.

"Thank you Princess, see you tonight." Her and that damn nickname. I chuckled, leaving her office slash my office, and made my way to the elevators. Upon leaving the building, Perrie's driver picked me up and drove me home. Now, I got to take a shower and look for what I'm going to wear. Those are things that I didn't need to think about a few weeks ago. She has changed everything for me.
