Blackwood's Wolf Angels

CHAPTER 1

CIARA BLACKWOOD 

"Thea, all clear?" I ask almost out of breath running in my wolf form through the woods.

Thea is hesitant when she finally responds after what seems like several minutes. "...Shit,... yeah, all clear on my end."

"Thea!" Rain, my wolf and I growl out. She knew this mission was vital and we all had to have our head in the game. I know I could be overbearing when it comes to our missions, but these girls are my responsibility and so are the ones we are trying to save.

A life was at stake here if we messed this mission up and I knew beforehand taking on this mission could possibly cost a life. I knew my angels were equipped and prepared for anything but mentally I was not prepared to lose one of them. I may not show them how much I care for them, but they are my only family, and I would give my life to make sure they are safe.

We are an elite group of wolf "Angels" as I would like to call us, with special powers. We are stronger together, but we do kick ass when we're alone. No one knows about our side job or our special powers we have, not even in our own pack, The Fang Blood pack. Kylan is the daughter of Alpha Mattis and Luna Sophia Kumori. Neither of them even knows she has special powers.

Alpha Mattis brought me to the Fang Blood pack when I was just two years old. I really don't remember what happened, but I lost my parents, the last royal family due to a well-planned out rogue attack. At least this is what I have been told by the Kumori's.

My father and Alpha Mattis were good friends and once he heard what happened he felt it was best I live with them. They never treated me as a royal, even though I am the last royal alive, but I was thankful they didn't as I didn't like to be the center of attention. I became good friends with Kylan, who eventually I called my sister and with my five angels I met at the pack we discovered our powers when we became teenagers.

"Sorry...sheesh." Thea whisper yells back at me annoyed. Okay, so she's pissed but she should know better by now.

Our lovely Thea Woods is the only married one out of the six of us. Due to her husband always being away on "business", she has been sensitive and second guessing herself lately. This woman craves to have a family since she has been on her own for so long. She discovered she had the power to manipulate water when she fell off a cliff and almost drowned. She had just turned thirteen and her wolf was not yet strong enough to help her since the waves were high. Her emotions created a bubble to form around her and she was able to swim back to shore safely.

Hearing Thea's frustration was about driving me insane. This mind-linking was great, but when you were listening to all the crap that transpired in your friend's mind, it was an overload for me. Especially, when listening to Remi's sex fantasies.

Please don't remind me! Rain snorts.

Hey, you are the one who encouraged her in the beginning. Don't play like you're not solely responsible. I hear Rain grumble something and knowing her she is probably cursing me out, but she did encourage Remi a lot since my lovely wolf is a horn ball herself.

Remi Stone is the shy, timid and clumsy one of the pack. I will admit though, when the girl is clumsy, she is dainty about it. She always sees the brighter side of a nasty situation and loves men. I love the fact that she can manipulate the weather. The first time she discovered her powers was when she created a tornado because a girl punched her in the face for no reason. It was the first time I saw a person swept away and dangling from a high tree branch. Out of spite, Remi left her hanging there overnight and threatened the girl if she ever opened her mouth or laid a hand on anyone again, she would make sure she was never found.
