The next day was the first day of class, and I was awoken by the bright beam of sun shining through the curtain, and Pansy's obnoxious snorring. I had just finished getting cleaned up and dressed into my robes when It actually hit me that today was the first day of school. I stood in the bathroom for a few longer minutes as I slowly breathed in and out trying to calm myself. After several minutes of slow and heavy breathing I went back out into the dormitory to find my schedule.
I moved around my trunk grabbing my bag and a peice of parchment which was my scedule and I headed out the door. I had tranfiguration first period, and was extremely overjoyed when I saw that Professeur Mgonagall was the teacher. As I enterted the room my heart skipped a few beats as I hoped I knew someone in the class. When I looked around the room for a farmiliar face I spotted Harry, Hermoine, and Ron in the back. They waved me over all with welcoming smiles. I sat down and whisperred "Hey, I'm glad you guys are in this class." They all laughed until Hermoin turned to me with a serious look on her face. She grabbed my hands in hers "Katie, I'm sorry you didn't get into Gryffindor." I looked at her with a smile, "It's no worries, I don't talk to anyone in the house anyway."
Just then class started and stopped in the blink of an eye. I was so happy that all my friends were in the same class as me, and we basically talked the whole time in the back while Mgonagall was to busying talking to everyone else. The next class I had was charms, and to my surprise Ginny was sitting at one of the far tables to the left. When she saw me walk in her face lit up with a smile, and I walked over to her.
"Hey, how was your first class?" she asked me. I had nothing bad to say about it so I told her the truth, "It was so great, Harry, Hermoine, and Ron were all in that clas-." The teacher cut me off as she walked in the room and I sat quietly waiting for the Professuer to start. About halfway through the class I heard laughing and talking behind me when I turned and saw Draco Malfoy, Crabbe, and Goyle all sitting there.
"Do you have something funny to say Malfoy? Cause If you do you should share it with the whole class," the professeur barked at him. For the rest of the class he didn't shut up, and I was starting to realize that I hated Draco Malfoy. The next period I had Herbology with Neville and Luna, which was extremely boring and even Neville agreed which was odd for him.
Fourth Period I had defense against the dark arts but I didn't know anyone In that class, and I wasn't glad because Umbridge was a pain in my arse. I could tell that in the first five minutes I was going to hate this class. My fifth and second last class of the day was potions, and of course I had to walk in seeing Bella waving me down to sit at her table. As I sat down I noticed the other people at the table, sat there was Blaise, Pansy, Milicent, Bella, and of course Draco.
Just my luck. For the rest of the year I was going to have to sit at a table with all the people that annoyed me the most in this world. Obviously Bella was an exception seeing as she was the only nicer one to me. Snape walked in and started the lesson immediately. Unlike other classes he actually let us do something. We were making a potion used to knock people out. At that moment snape told us to partner up, I jumped immediately "Bella, wanna be partners," she noded back before anyone else could ask me. "aww come on, I wanted to ask young to be my partner," Zabini grunted. "sorry to late" I hissed back at him.
For most of that class I was at peace making my potion with bella until Draco started nagging at me. "So Young was it, why did you transfer here from the pretty little girl school you went to" everyone laughed at Draco's comment. "Well I moved and Hogwarts was closer." Nobody made a noise so Malfoy continued, "are you sure you're cut out to be a Slytherin? you don't look like one." Snape started telling us the period would be over soon, so I didn't have enough time to bite back at draco's comment immedietly .
Right then and there, I looked over at draco and said "is this Slytherin enough for you?" I grabbed the potion I brewed and poured it over him causing him to pass out immedietly. Before Snape could come over and get me in trouble I grabbed my stuff and left to my last class of the day care of magical creatures with the noise of others laughing in the distance. I got to care of magical creatures and with a blink of hesitation I realized everyone from slytherin in my potions class was in this one. The only person I didn't see was draco and I let out a sigh of releif.
15 minutes into the class I felt breathing down my neck, and turned quickly to see Malfoy standing right behind me. "Ahhh...Malfoy, looks like my potion worked quit nicely," I snickered to myself in response to my comeback. However Draco didn't seem amused. "Listen here young, if you every think of pulling that fucking shit with me again, you'll regret it." Draco said it in such a nasty and dark tone that it sent shivers down my spine.
That night I was sitting in the common room doing my work for herbology when I noticed I never got sent to see dombledore or snape to be punished for what I did to Malfoy. I found it odd but stopped caring about it as Draco walked through the painting and stared at me coldly. Later that night I fell asleep by the green lite fireplace in the common room.
