Its Monday , November 3. The day Alexandra had been dreading for the longest . '' Ellie its time to get up'' her mom said turning on her light . '' Im not going '' she rolled back over . '' Oh lord , come on you've came to far to give up now ''. After laying there for a few minutes Alexandra finally got up. She didnt know what to feel .
After getting to the hospital it finally hit her . She had to see the doctor before they got to go go to the chemo floor . " Goodmorning Alexandra" Dr.McDonald greeted. " Goodmorning " Alexandra replied. "Are you ready for today ?'' he asked with a smile . " Now why the hell is he smiling " Alexandra though to herself. This aint nothing to smile about . " I have no other choice" Alexandra replied . After getting a regular checkup it was time to head to the chemo floor .
"Alexandra" the nurse called ." Ellie come on " . her mom called . Alexandra just sat there . "Earth to Alexandra" Alexandra finally got up . As she walked to the back she was amazed at how it was set up . " Nice" she said to herself. " Well heres your room , ill be back in one second to get you set up " the nurse said. Alexandra knew this would be here second home for the next few months . After the nurse came back , Alexandra got nervous . " Well lets get started. Alexandra didnt have to get an IV , she had a port put in a few weeks proir to. " Okay we're going to flush your port and get you started on fluids " As the needle prepped Alexandra just sat there . " I would hate to kick this lady in the face " Alex thought to her self . " Okay on 3 your gonna feel the pressure from it needle" the nurse said. 1...2..3... Alexandra thought her shoulder fell off . " Ouch......" " You felt that " the nurse said looking confused. " Umm Duh bitch let me stick you and see if you feel it." Alexandra thought to herself. " YES" Alexandra said. " Did you put your numbing cream on " she asked. " Yes" . " Tomorrow make sure you put it on 15 minutes before you arrive". After getting started , Alexandra jsut knew she was finna be there all day . Family started to show their faces throughout the day . " Is your sweetie coming up here ? " Her aunt Foxy asked referring to Cameron .. " umm im not sure " ..
" Momma I have to pee again " Alexandra laughed. All the fluids and chemo had her back and forth to the bathroom . " Thats good . get it all out " her mom laughed .
* Fast Forward To Friday*
Alexandras first week of chemo was better than she thought it was . The only bad thing she was tired and her smelling senses got stronger . She could smell everything . The steriods made her eat any and everything . " im going to be 600 pounds" she laughed . She was happy she had the next two weeks off , she could finally sleep. After a week of being in the ouse after chemo , Alexandra was ready to return to her normal life . " You really shouldnt be going out, your immune system is really low " her mom said . " Im going to be fine " she said . " I know that but you dont need to get sick at all ' her mom said . Alexandra really didnt care . " Im not staying in this house . Alexandra was a woman of her word. She went out and soon as she got home was tired than ever . " I guess i should have listened to her . She hated when her mom was right .
