You ran ahead of Tadashi, looking behind you to see him struggling in the sand. This caused you to laugh and run back to him, where you proceeded to grab his hands to steady him and then pull him along with you. You had just left your picnic area alone on the beach as the two of you ran along the shore. There was no one really on the beach on this particular day, so you weren't too worried. This was a date you had been longing for. Yamaguchi had been very busy with studies, volleyball, and the extra practices on top of all of that. You missed your greenish haired boyfriend. And he missed you too, so the both of you were very happy to have this time to yourselves. Your walk along the beach had started off as looking for pretty seashells, but after you splashed him with a little water began a chase. You both laughed as you continued to run farther away from your bikes and shoes. You stopped to catch your breath, and Tadashi did the same. You looked a little ahead and saw a large object poking out of the sand. You ran towards it and picked up a beautiful conch shell. 

"TADASHI! Come look what I found!" You yelled 

"COMING!" he said and ran over towards you. When he reached you he wrapped his arms around your waist and put his head on your shoulder to get a look at what you had called him over for. His fluffy hair tickled your ear and neck a little making your giggle. 

"Look at this! It's not broken at all! It's fully put together. Isn't it pretty?" you questioned, holding up the shell and turning it around to get a full look at it.

"That's a good find, y/n. Though, it's not as pretty as you." he muttered the last part, but you still heard it.

"You're too sweet, Tadashi. You know what my mom used to tell me about these kind of shells?"

"What?"

"She told me that mermaids only sent these shells to kind people and that if you put your ear to them that you could hear the mermaids singing." you said leaning your head on his.

"Thats cute."

"Mhm, and I'm pretty sure it was my little kid imagination, but I actually used to hear the mermaids singing. I wonder if we could hear them now." you placed the shell next to your ear, and heard a very sweet hum. Not like the ocean but just a pretty hum. You gave Tadashi the shell, and he placed it to his ear. 

"I hear a pretty hum."

"Me too!"

"Maybe your mom was right."

"I hope so. Wouldn't that be so cool! Just being a mermaid or merman. I think we would make a good mermaid and merman."

"Me too. I wouldn't mind being a merman."

"Me either. Oh I bet you would have this amazing green tail! and I could have a f/c tail. Personally I think your tail your accent your hair."

"You would be the prettiest mermaid out there." 

"and you would be the most handsome. I hope that in another life (im so sorry)  we can be together in the sea." 

"Me too. Just imagine getting to look at the sunset every day. I would never get tired of it." he said looking at the sun as it faded over the ocean. The two of you had sat down, you were in between his legs with your head on his chest.

"Me either..... Tadashi?"

"Mhm?

"I really love you." You looked up at him.

"Well, I really love you too." he looked down at you. You smiled and gave him a small peck on his lips, before looking back at the sun.

You both stayed there until the sun had finally disappeared, then you raced back to your picnic area. After cleaning up and getting your shoes on, you hopped onto your bikes and rode back to the small hotel you were staying at. You both swerved in and out of each other with the bikes, lightly crashing into each other one or twice. After reaching the hotel, you locked your bikes back into place and brought everything into your room. You took turns showering before jumping on the bed swinging pillows at each other. He gave up with the pillow and tackled you onto the bed. After having a laughing heart attack you noticed he was on top of you. The both of you blushed and looked the opposite way. You were both overthinking the 'situation' in your heads. Finally Yamaguchi took a leap of faith and gave you a long kiss. You kissed back immediately, your hands finding their way to his hair, while his cupped your face. It was sweet and passionate. All you felt was the intense feeling of love radiating off of Tadashi. Once you ran out of breath he pulled back and flopped next to you. You both wrapped your arms around each other, and fell asleep after muttering small 'I love you's'.
